JMU, Elon, StonyBrook, Delaware, Maine

After that loss yesterday, UD better win out to make sure they are in. What will help them is the lack of good teams for at large bids. FCS doesn’t offer much outside of the top 10.

JMU, Elon, StonyBrook, Delaware, Maine

6 CAA teams are vying for 4 likely slots. Don’t see Maine and UD, one of them will have 4 losses.

JMU, Elon, SB are almost locks. UD, Maine, UNH will fight for that last slot. If they end up with tied records, my money is on UNH slipping in.

Games with big playoff implications:
Elon vs UNH, SB vs Maine, UD vs Maine.

It will be interesting if Maine wins out and UNH beats Elon. That scenario might setup the CAA for 5 bids. It would be hard to keep Maine out if they beat SB, UD, and UMass.

NEXT WEEK, ELON @ NOVA
If it’s between unh and UD, UD is in with more quality wins. Unh lacks any quality win. They must beat Elon next week or they’re all but done.
If Maine wins out vs their fcs, they’re likely in. If they win out with the umass win too, they’ll be in the field.
JMU and Elon are locks. SB is likely. UD, UNH and Maine are on the bubble but likely need to win out. UR and VU are technically still alive but must win out for a chance at the bubble.

I think UR and VU are done. VU was thin going into the year and lost their best players. UR just doesn’t have the horses this year. Four CAA teams are a given and five is not out of the question.

And this is why I don't participate in JMU events in Richmond. Are you serious with this comment? Do you actually watch the games other than JMU? Have you seen Elon play this year? Get off your high horse man.

So you don’t come to RVA events because you might disagree with someone’s opinion on our football team? Seems odd but would be glad to have you at any of the events regardless.

I told you guys Elon was good. Having said that though, I don't think we need to worry about them. We will be fine. I'm hoping to be able to go down there.

Don't count out UNH. I expect them to win out and make the playoffs again. They are:

@William & Mary--W
Elon at home--W
@Albany--W

You can not be serious. Thank goodness MH will not let the team head into the Elon game with that kind of condescending attitude. If they did it would surely mean the end of the winning streak, loss of the CAA title, and a #1 seed in the playoffs.

I’m calling a Tribe win this weekend vs UNH. Especially if Knight can’t go at QB

RE: NEXT WEEK, ELON @ NOVA
After reviewing Elon's defensive stats, it really isn't anything to write home about. They're definitely a back half CAA defense. Their offense is also their strength, but it's at a level noticeably behind us at this time. I also wonder how much of their rushing stats were Malcolm Summers. I'm sure it's a higher % of their season rushing totals than Cardon Johnson's stats in relation to our totals (yes I understand he played more games than CJ).

I am just saying what a majority of our fans would say. Nervous is going into the Fargo dome to play a night game vs the Bison - not a noon kickoff at Elon. We should expect to beat Elon and beat them handily. Obviously the coaches will have our guys focused as they don’t overlook any opponents. Elon’s turnaround this year is remarkable and hats off to their players and coaches. But their strength appears to be their offense which is led by a freshman QB and their backup RB. Our defense will be the best unit on the field in every game we play this season. Our offense will eventually find a rhythm (hopefully this weekend) and Elon doesn’t appear to be anything special defensively.

So your excuse is a “majority of fans” would say what you’ve just shared? 07-coffee3

That’s extremely weak sauce.

Elon is for real, and your arrogance is showing. Tuck it in.

The Dukes will be prepared for Elon. It stands in their way of home field throughout, and Elon will just be happy to be in the field again.

Thanks for chiming in here ‘95. Elon’s point differential is -6 while ours is plus 226. That’s all you need to know.

Elon doesn't care a hoot how many more points JMU has scored (mostly in walk-overs against ETSU and NSU) this season. They're winning, ranked for the first time in many years, and in a position to take their first league championship while earning a playoff seed. The Phoenix would just love to wreck havoc on a program that's humiliated them for years, and they'll be just as motivated as JMU to win, and at home.

Look, I'm on record thinking JMU will go undefeated this season, however, any armchair QB who thinks JMU is gonna walk into Elon's stadium and its going to the same-o same-o as in years past will be in for a rude awakening.

A lot of that is because of being blown out by their fbs opponent. It’d be more apples to apples to exclude that.
