I guess they're responsible for the $692 billion budget deficit.
Trump didn't seem to care when it was people on the West side of Houston who needed the money.
Puerto Ricans don't have the vote. So they can't be held responsible for actions they cannot control.
In general I agree with your sentiment but I don't think it was ever just the west side of Houston in need. Harvey pretty much affected the whole area and really the east side of Houston got hit worse than the west side (although the homes in Cinco Ranch flooded from the reservoirs got a lot of the deserved attention).

The death toll now went up to 34. They still have not have full contact with the whole island to know what the death count would be.

New tropical storm/possible hurricane possibly headed towards Gulf Coast by this weekend? Probably looking at Florida panhandle/Alabama/Mississippi area. Hopefully won't be a hurricane and just a rainmaker.
We just officially set an all-time record for wettest year ever in Houston yesterday - 74 inches and counting for the year now.

Meanwhile, the Trump White House let the 10-day Jones Act waiver expire last night, meaning once again foreign ships can no longer bring aid to Puerto Rico. What is the point of 90 percent of the crap the Trump Administration does - is it just one giant power trip?

There are 75 point of distribution locations currently in operation in Puerto Rico providing meals and recovery supplies. There's 19,000 federal employees, military and civilian, supporting recovery efforts. Nearly 60% of Puerto Rico water system customers have a potable water supply and the rest have available bottled water. 60% of the sewer system is operational. 77% of grocery stores, 78% of the retail gas station, 96% of dialysis, 100% of the hospitals and 100% of the post offices are open for business. All of the ports and airports are open.
Perhaps the reason the Jones Act was allowed ot expire is the fact that the situation is in hand and there's no need for it anymore.
Do you have anything that shows there is a need for the extension of the suspension or did your leftist talking point not mention that?

RE: Puerto Rico
The Governor of Puerto Rico (remember he's one of the good politicians who doesn't criticize Trump) said today only 15 percent of the country has electricity at this point.
A bi-partisan bill has been introduced in Congress to permanently get rid of the Jones Act for Puerto Rico. \“Now that the temporary Jones Act waiver for Puerto Rico has expired, it is more important than ever for Congress to pass my bill to permanently exempt Puerto Rico from this archaic and burdensome law,” Republican Senator John McCain said in a statement to HuffPost. “Until we provide Puerto Rico with long-term relief, the Jones Act will continue to hinder much-needed efforts to help the people of Puerto Rico recover and rebuild from Hurricane Maria.”
There is no reason at the least they can't keep the waiver going. Name one good reason we needed to lift the waiver so quickly.

Last time I checked you don't deliver electricity by ship so I fail to see what this has to do with the price of tea in China.

It will never pass because the minute it does it's the death knell for American flagged shipping.

Because we have the situation under control and do not need the assistance. Too many supplies is just as much of a problem as too few because A. you have to unload it B. you have to store it and C. you have to guard it to keep it from being stolen.

The problem isn't getting stuff to Puerto Rico, it's getting it distributed once it's there. There is no flag whose ships work well on land.
Probably the most valuable asset is the Navy amphib ships, because of their helicopters. But those needed a few days to get there.

I wonder which NFL game trump and pence are planning to pull a stunt at this weekend?
Surprised that it isn't a lot higher. Are you going down to volunteer or just going to complain?
