You have a great QB. Jealous.

I've never seen someone with so much envy over practically every MAC team. Better stop hyping Toledo before Keno Davis gets jealous.

Can you imagine how miserable this guy's life must be? His whole purpose in life to troll an EMU sports board in order to try and get a reaction from people.

Sad human.
I love my life! but getting back on topic, here's the difference between EMU football and UT football: Darius Jackson vs Kareem Hunt. We are good, they are great. Not in their league yet, but we're making strides.

Bob, Bob, Bob...

You are falling into a bad trap not indicative of rigorous reasoning.

What should EMU FB be compared to? WMU and their great players last year? Toledo and Kareem Hunt, Michael Roberts? Etc.

What one can do if they are not careful is compare one team, e.g., EMU, to the best of 11 OTHER teams.

One can compare Detroit to say the great beach cities of So. Cal or beauty of No. Cal., all the government jobs in D.C., the financial district and theater district of NYC, NBA championship team from CLE, World Series winning city of Chicago, etc.

In this case I have created a 'mythical city' which has hundreds of thousands of good paying government jobs, robust high paying Wall Street, theater district, beautiful beaches, beautiful forests, sports championships, etc. etc.

However what I described was obtained by cherry picking the best from over a half dozen DIFFERENT cities.

This kind of 'selective comparisons' isn't fair. Today it is Toledo. Last year it was WMU. Or maybe it was No. Iowa in MBB.

Bob W. knows how to selective compare across teams, across leagues, across time periods. (Bob compares EMU MBB in this decade to EMU MBB in the 90s).

Bob's favorite QB and team, Shane Morris at CMU, with another stellar day:

21/42, 171 yds, 3 PICKS......in a 28-8 loss.

...at Boston College (slightly better than Rutgers), just saying. Unfortunately for CMU, he can't do it by himself and Antonio Brown isn't walking through that door. Let's see what he does in the MAC. I'm guessing he is going to do pretty well.

Not optimistic, just fair...to cherry pick stats vs P5 opponent Boston College, which was still a competitive game, yet give no credit for his P5 45-27 victory at Kansas where he was 28-37, 467 yards, 5 TD's and 0 interceptions--basically a perfect game, no matter the opponent, is just silly and unwarranted.

Classic Bob logic. 03-lmfao He has had 3 terrible games, and 1 fluke game against maybe the worst defense in college football.......and we're the one's cherry picking!

Go join your friends on your CMU board and convince them how great he is. They refer to him as the Shameful Shane Morass Show, and say "Morris is awful. Kansas was a fluke bc they are that bad."

Please run over there and make some supportive comments about Morris, it will be hilarious to watch the replies.

We don't care about Shane Morris until CMU week.

Now we're going to see the two best quarterbacks in the conference (Roback and Woodside) go head to head on Saturday.

Yep, here you go Luckeyone. You've been Roback's biggest fan, and it's certainly time for him to step up and have a big game, after the less than stellar start. We're now into the 5th game and Creighton/Keen/Roback need to start holding up their end of the bargain. This is a winnable game that would really shake up the MAC if we're able to pull it off on the road, against the MAC favorite.

Glass half full.

Roback has 3 TD passes and 4 picks... He isnt in the same area code of Woodside who has more yards, 11 TD's and 1 INT.

Make the same comparison with the defenses. UT almost gave up more points to Tulsa than EMU gave to all 4 opponents combined.

Fastest 0 in the country...1 play every 10 seconds... and a RB who is getting drafted in deangelo brewer. Teams who run the ball can score on us. See WMU and BYU in 2016. Tulsa and Miami in 2017.

Tulsa has played Navy, Oklahoma state, UNM, and ULL thus far.... All were bowl teams in 2016. Let them play some more even opponents and see how they fair. I bet Tulsa goes bowling. Mind you they beat CMU by 50 in their bowl game last year.

At the end of the day...2016 matters very little... But our D hasnt changed much.

This is the game that will demonstrate to everyone in the MAC that Brogan Roback is the best quarterback in the conference. Now we do need the receivers to step up. Porter (aka I have the dropsies) must make the easy catches. Need Aristilde to play and contribute. Need Bailey to have 8 catches. Need 120 yards rushing.

Go get em Brogan and EMU!
