Brogan Roback is our X Factot - Luckeyone - 04-09-2017 06:41 PM
As a former Highschool quarterback (I wasn't very good), I evaluated all of the MAC QBs last year. I ranked Brogan as the most physically gifted QB in the conference including Terrell, Woodside and Cooper Rush. However, Brogan's decision making and leadership is what set him back. From the account of CC, it appears Brogan has improved his leadership skills that should position him as the top QB in the MAC if we can keep the DL off of him.

Woodside is the top MAC QB until proven otherwise. Physically gifted means nothing without an Oline, run game, and the mental aspects of the game. Look no further than Terrell as proof.
On a positive note, I think Brogan takes another step forward and has his best season!

Still listed on the roster, but would make sense considering we have 2 incoming Freshmen QB's, and just got a verbal from a 2018 QB.

Kilby is also gone, but still listed on the current roster (as is Porter). They haven't purged the roster of transfers yet, so there might be other turnover we aren't aware of yet.

Without Porter they have no experience at backup QB. That's not a good situation.

Dear Friends,
Porter and Kilby were not listed on the spring game roster. Since that is the latest roster out, it probably means they are no longer with the team.

Yeah, Kilby appears to be long gone. On his twitter it says "class of 2018". Must want to have his feathers fluffed after a decent season. Oh well. Next player up.

He could be sitting out for 'unspecified' reasons.

The pro scouts are taking notice of Roback's pro potential. With the talent we have on defense and at skill positions, if the O-Line does it's job, Roback and the offense should have a monster year.

The OLine will not perform like last year, this is a certainty. The TE position will look nothing like last year, this is a certainty.
Keen and Roback will have to adjust accordingly. This will be a great test for Roback to show he is ready mentally, and leadership wise. If he does well, I would think it's very likely he gets drafted late, on the strength of his arm alone. If he reverts back to sloppy mechanics and lots of picks, he'll likely only get a free agent shot, at best.
Looking forward to seeing the best of Brogan this year! It's his team.

Those OSU numbers are good. That's a 155.57 PER
