No. I could not imagine a game like today forcing people closer together.

They need a cover on that stadium. It was hotter than a MF'r out there.

45k seats on campus. We'd double our gate receipts.

If we ever get into a Power conf or get AAC paid half as well as one, an on campus makes sense. I think it happens in my lifetime..I'm under 40

They need to tarp both sides above the upper portals. You'd have a out 45K seats and help lower the supply of tickets, which makes all tickets more valuable. You can create whatever size stadium you want. Purty simple.

Add more seat backs. IIRC, highest LB capacity was around 66K. With the initial ADA renovations, and then a couple years later the tarp and seat backs it's down to under 57K.

Add about 10,000 more seat backs, get capacity down to 50K. The stadium would look great, and we might actually create some scarcity for tickets once or twice a year.

Ehrhardt and the Liberty Bowl game guys would fight it, they want the capacity closer to 60K, but screw them. We are the main tenant.

Vanderbilt on ESPNU right now vs. Kansas State, about to win.

ESPN says it's a sellout, and their seating capacity is 39,870. Looks great on TV. We need to get LB capacity down.

Our 46,000 and change was probably top 2 or 3 in G5 attendance for the day

It's nothing to wring your hands over folks

Enjoy the victory

I suggest a compromise that I think is doable. Change the seat capacity by changing the number of seats on each row. This creates better spacing, more hip room and makes the stadium have a fuller appearance. Decrease the capacity down to about 45k. On those games that require 59k, revert back to current seat numbering by utilizing a temporary seat numbering system that covers the new more spacious system.

Those bench seats are only comfortable for someone weighing in at under 135. Two full grown men cannot occupy the footprint two assigned seats provides. Ridiculous, and why I went ahead and bit the bullet for chairbacks. Those things are the shi... uh, they are great! I should have done it last year.

The chair backs are 100% worth the money. It's just a more comfortable experience.

But, they need to add some shade as well.
