Why not put more video screens across the top of the visitor's side below the press boxes?

The city planned for 3,000 people.
I heard they allowed outside drinks in last week.
Also, another thing.
We sit in the chair back section. There's a row in our section that has no seats on it. Obviously, nobody is supposed to sit there. Well, our "security" in our section was a 17 year old African American girl. And every time a white person would come down and sit there, she was quick to approach them and tell them no no. But every time a fellow African American would come down and sit there, she would conveniently turn a blind eye. When approached in the 3rd quarter about this occurrence by a fellow concerned good fan, she had quite a few choice words for the individual.
This is not Montgomery and this is not Alabama State. Get it together.

Enjoy the victory
It was not an ideal impression on TV. Sort of disappointing looking actually, to not have a more full stadium for a top 25 ranked "national name" opponent.
I mean, I get it, they were not a locally popular team so didn't attract the people who would come see those, or the fans of those, but I was hoping for a fuller stadium. I don't mean jam-packed, but I wasn't expecting to see large areas of empty seating.

Some of you worry way too much about attendance. Enjoy the win. I remember when we went 1-10. Nobody cared what the stands looked like that year.

It was 11AM, on ABC, and UCLA brought only a small number of people. My only disappointment was how many people left during the second half. I would say conservatively 10,000 left before the 4th quarter. We also need to make sure the vendors don't run out of bottled water by halftime.

THis is an excellent idea.

Those bench seats are only comfortable for someone weighing in at under 135. Two full grown men cannot occupy the footprint two assigned seats provides. Ridiculous, and why I went ahead and bit the bullet for chairbacks. Those things are the shi... uh, they are great! I should have done it last year.
The chair backs are 100% worth the money. It's just a more comfortable experience.
But, they need to add some shade as well.
That's what hats were invented for.

that was 100% the city's fault. People left to avoid heat stroke and exhaustion. Ran out of water before the end of the 1st quarter.
Sure, some say their area was giving away tap water for free. Most weren't. They were charging $4-5 a cup (if selling any at all), and that only lasted moments really.

Tennessee and Florida kicked off at 2:30. It's also a big reason why we didn't get 50,000. We are a lot of fans 2nd team.

My wife got very dizzy and almost fainted at the start of the 3rd quarter and I had to bring her home. She was better once she got in air conditioning. Seeing that she was better, I came back to the game and made it right at the end of the 3rd quarter. But yea it was hot as hell, understandable why some had to leave. Next game is at 7:00, should be much better.

This is nonsense. 11:00am start in mid-September means heat as well as tons of folks having to attend their kids' soccer/football games instead of going to the Tiger game.

Forget the tarps and any other ideas (for now).
Have the marketing crew work on free/discounted group tickets to youth groups, churches, etc. Give away every seat that isn't sold. Fill the place, even with freebies, until we get to the point that we are selling out (or close).
Make young Tiger fans. Fill the empty seats. Screw this adding more trap nonsense or lowering seating capacity.

I understand the sentiment, you can't do that. It's bad enough with the $5 Kroger tickets for the opening game (but understandable), but people would get totally pissed that they pay for tickets while others get in for free.

and new fans are taught the value of a ticket by their first experience. If it is free then that is the value they place on it.
The $5 ticket should be for a Div1aa games!

not to mention it devalue's our overall ticket pricing. Those numbers affect other areas.

I don't think we run the risk of undervaluing the consumers. And, I would sure hope that people wouldn't be "pissed" about getting kids to Tiger football games.
