I tried to tell you to take the points and under and double everything you bet. I should have took my own advice and bet my Vegas money (on the UTEP) on the game. But I don't really bet other than a few dollars when we go to places like Biloxi. I'm talking $25 to $50. But I put back $500 for my wife and her dead broke sister to blow in Vegas...

Western has no running game and Ill put 6 to 8 in the box. We never took advantage of that by going over the middle

USF has 239 on the ground in the first half. Western had 6 yards on 16 carries. This offense is 100% different than what you seen from Western over the last 4 years. Passes are mostly to the side and a lot deeper...hardly any short passes and hardly any over the middle. Where a blitzing team gives up the field. Quick passes over the middle makes the stay home.

Go to 1:50 in this video and you will see what I'm talking about. Western drags a TE all the way across the field. Last year we had Norris or Taylor in the slot and when thf TE clears the LB dragging him in coverage.

On this play no one went over the middle for Western so that left a LB to blitz and two LBs on coverage on the TE. The only other player (WR) WENT DEEP .

After watching the Illinois v. USF game off and on last night, I am at a loss to understand how WKU lost to that team. Illinois looked horrible, horrible against USF. Just hard to believe that WKU could not beat them.

Either Illinois played much better against WKU or WKU is just that bad......i think its a little of both. I think Illinois will fold like last night when they get down because of the youth, WKU could never get things going which allowed them to build confidence and never give up

I still can't fathom how we lost to Illinois. Scoring only 7 points is the shocker. I think we had gone 13 games in a row with at least 30 points before then. That score is just such an anomaly it just basically sucked the wind out of the sails for any Topper fan who had expectations for having another 10 win season. South Florida managed 376 yards rushing while WKU had 6. No improvement today and the LaTech game will be over early and the fans will be pouring out the exits before half.

If Tech plays defense like they have in the other 4 games vs Western. I expect to see Western turnovers and not much offense. Tech's blitzing defense will stop the run and kill the pass. It will do that because as I said...

Western runs mid to deep routes on most plays and very very very little over the middle. Next to nothing from the slot.

Not for a second do I believe Western's defense is going to win this game. Tech's qb will win this game with his arm and legs. Ill is a awful running team. Yet they gained 193 yards. They are even a worse passing team. Ball St held Ill to 71 rushing yards. The same Ball St team gave up 336 yards to UAB

Western will need 100% improvement to win this game.

It's fitting the first home conference game is against Tech. Tech stopped Western's conference winning streak (they were also the last cusa team to beat Western before the streak) and now Tech will most likely stop the below Western streak.

Wou;ld love to be wrong on this but till I see any part of a just a decent "football team" out of Western. I expect a beatdown



WKU hasn't lost a conf home game since Oct 4, 2014, which is the longest streak in all of CFB.

That makes us even in that category. I actually expect improvement from both teams tonight. I just hope Tech improves more than Western. Losing to you guys is getting old.

I haven't seen ya'll play this year so I'm just basing my opinions on what I have read from fans on this board. Your team is probably better than you guys are letting on. WKU has consistently fielded a good team as long as I have been familiar, which pre dates our being conference mates.

Here we have two teams--both predicted as division winners and no "real" TV for this game.

Stadium may be OK and may be the future but it is NOT as good as other cable or TV networks.

Go Western. Kick their teeth in.

This league is wide the f open.... the champ could have two or a remote possibility of three conference losses

What is really worrying me is when Sanford said he is simplifying the offense for this game. Bowling Green High runs a more complicated offense than Western does. Give me a break. This coach has me near panicing mode. Let's fix something that is not broke why don't we.
