People are dying and are fighting for their lives and here you are with your negativity. How about shutting your damn mouth. You are what's wrong with this country. Instead of coming together, you are trying to rip this country apart. ******* amazing!

Sorry if I sound a little cynical in this respect but it gets old when rich people get away from these sorts of disasters because they have the resources to do so. The poor on the other hand usually get it the worst. Then the rich people come back in and help out after the fact and get a big old pat on the back.

It's sickening.

Or it could be the fact that they couldn't open the church because it had taken water, but don't take my word for it. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Fit, that is disappointing to hear from you.. Yes, they got out of the storm because they could.. Then they came back to help, not for a damn pat on the back, but because _it was the right thing to do_.

But that's "sickening"? Fit, as someone who considers you a friend on this board (one that we will get into our political spats over :) ).. you really need to step back and ask yourself what's wrong with that statement you made.

Several good maps-shows flooding as well as rainfall by time. Shows the vast sheets that inundated the SE Houston area later in the time.

so helping after isn't good enough for you either? Clean up efforts for disasters like this are staggering.

I'm in Texas and I voted for Clinton. Fort Bend and Harris Counties (which probably are the two hardest hit counties) both went blue in 2016.

BTW I went home to my house in mandatory evacuation zone today. We haven't received an ounce of rain anywhere near the home. Lots of ants but no water.

Good on you for trying to put the truth out there but the leftist sheep have their talking points and will not be dissuaded from their typical baseless attacks.

What is this clod even talking about? The GOP(?) caused Harvey to be a once in a 1000 year storm?!? This guy sounds more like Pat Robertson with idiotic crap like this. Not helpful to say the least, but leave it to a leftist to try and somehow immediately capitalize on a human tragedy.

If I heard the number correctly, estimates are something like 9 TRILLION gallons water has been dumped with this thing. Noahs Ark type stuff... damn.

CNN publishes article suggesting Texas should be denied federal aid. http://www.cnn.com/2017/08/29/opinions/h...index.html

He claims his side is better, but I never heard anyone from the other side make this type of suggestion because of politics.

I saw in the related articles, one by Jen Saki that says it's too early for President Trump to go to Texas.

It's too early. No, now it's too late. He wore the wrong hat. FLOTUS wore the wrong shoes.

Truly, sick people.

Save it buddy. What comes around goes around. We listened to it for 8 ******* years.

Quote:Looters at businesses near Tidwell and Mesa shot at Houston police officers and firefighters who responded to the scene, a police union official said.

Joe Gamaldi, vice president with the Houston Police Officers Union, said police had to divert from making high-water rescues to respond to the incident.

Gamaldi dubbed the shooting "#disgusting" on a tweet, noting that the looters were "advertising the shooting while we are saving people."
