RE: Lurkers....
Thanks. It is funny how much I hear from all my classmates/fraternity brothers/etc. There are a lot of USM'ers out there that are just waiting for a galvanizing moment. There's a reason we've had some flashes of goodness in the 80's, 90's & 00's.

We have more fans out there than most people realize. We are, however, spread out all over this universe.

0-35 coupled with zero planning by a few university presidents and ADs did the trick!

RE: Lurkers....
i would have to say that the 0-23 streak wore me out as a fan along with the DT crap. I quit buying season tickets and generally got fed up with the administration. Its only been the last couple of years since my son started attending USM that i've gotten a little more interested.

RE: Lurkers....
As a recent grad, I have yet to purchase season tickets. Not only are the recent grad packs a bit much for a new job, but I can't justify the costs with the quality of our schedule. Not to mention that to sit by friends with season tickets, I'd have to tack on an extra $250, I'll just pass. Those seats next to them can remain empty for all I care. We act like we've got some entertainment Mecca and we can charge ridiculous prices for seats that have been empty for years. Well I'm gonna hold my entertainment dollar until I see proof of competence within the athletic department. On and off the field.

RE: Lurkers....
This is my first year not buy season tickets since Fedora was hired. I just can't spend that much money anymore to watch us play our current conference mates. I have no excitement for it whatsoever, truthfully I can't even name all the teams in CUSA now.

I'm going to UK game and I always go up to HC game to see old fraternity brothers at the house. Other than that I just have no real desire to make the trip and expenses, etc.

Doing nothing and not being involved usually helps fix the problem.

Dude stated 'recent' grad. Don't know about you but many moons ago, after graduation, took some time before I could afford .99 cent Big Mac. I agree with you in context but let's give recent grads a break.

Kinda sounds like difficulty hearing the truth must go both ways. Dude just gave his honest opinion about where he spends his own money. Ease up on the sanctimony, chief.

RE: Lurkers....
There are season tickets in basketball, baseball, football, and so on. There are bowl game tickets, championship game tickets, NIT tickets... not everyone is going to be able to max out and buy 100% of everything. So, we all make decisions about how to allocate our money, and many of us will base these decisions on entertainment value. Maybe I'd rather watch good baseball than bad basketball or mediocre football. Shouldn't make me into some sort of pariah on a frickin' message board.

And I gave my honest response, chief.

I 100% understand the financial strain coming out of college. I struggled early on myself but my love for the school and program encouraged me to allocate money to be able to attend games.

The opponents we have coming to the Rock aren't going to change for the foreseeable future. So, if you want that to be your excuse for not supporting the program and players, so be it. But don't lambaste the program/school for charging some coin for decent seats.

And BTW, the recent grad packages seem like a hell of a deal:

2 Lower Level Tickets
Parking Pass
Eagle Club Membership at $150 level
$280 = $24 a month

or

2 Upper Level Tickets
Parking Pass
Eagle Club Membership at $125 level
$150 = $12.50 a month

Fair enough. Glad you are supporting the team. Hope no one takes your attitude too seriously and they continue to post... since that's what this thread was about. 04-cheers
