Definitely. Although, with Tony Skinn as an assistant, surely, we can't be surprised that the entire La Tech team stormed the court.
Haha! Very true!

Back to Rice. Did anyone else hear the announcer say Joey Rodriquez is an assistant coach at Rice? Maybe this is old news. At any rate it's twice as nice beating a FECES U player again and again and again.......

Rhoades probably loves that Rice gig. He can be terrible for years and years and nobody will care.

When Rice played here, the first thing my wife said to me was, "Isn't that Joey Rodriguez?" I think he's their video coordinator.

1) We should have hired Rhoades. What a joke. JJ has proven to be significantly better in all facets of coaching. Without Evans landing in his lap, he'd be garbage.
2) Rice is a better team this year than us. Uhhh, that was dumb.
3) Rice is trending up and we are trending down. Yeah, again...
To be fair, Evans didn't "land in his lap." Rhoades had been recruiting Evans for a long time and convinced Evans to follow him to Rice.
Yeah, he recruited him at VCU with VCU's success, reputation, and facilities as MAJOR selling points. Anyone think Rhoades would have been able to land Evans at Rice if he recruited him from start to finish at Rice?
Yes. Academics are important to his family
Then why did he ever consider VCU???
If academics are important to his family he could have just stayed at Randolph Macon. I'm glad he isn't our coach. Give me the Jones/ Stith combo anyday.

I will never forget him taunting our team in the CAA final at the Richmond Coliseum when vcu was up a pile of points with about 10 minutes left and in the end setting on the circle at midcourt crying after losing to us.

Well before the basketball game Alexander was talking to Rhoades about Rice and Rhoades and was going on about how important academics were to him.

Didn't he toss his shoe into the crowd during a CAA tourney game?

Academics are important to Rhoades. He took the VCU job to break into D1 hoops. But, Rhoades' mom was a teacher, and his dad was a teacher and principal before he became a PA state senator and Chair of the PA Senate Education Committee.

Well he lived in Ashland and I view him as no friend of ODU.

I don't get the dislike for Coach Rhoades.
It seems to me that he's done nothing other than to make us look good.

Relax. He's talking about Rhoades, who was once the coach at Randolph-Macon.
