He seems to be one of our better players at getting in the lane and drawing fouls. Shot mechanics looked ok. Has the speed in the open court to get into the lane.

I agree but I think he needs to slow down just a bit before that happens. I think he's too fast for his own good and gets outside of himself when he gets into the lane and runs into a body. Take it from 11 to 10 and the shots will be easier for him I think.

Exactly. Don't pull too much from this game. It's only a tune up.

Did like to see some different defensive looks (although we looked a bit lost in the zone at times)

After attending these things more times than I can count, I have found that I my positive impressions of players in the games are usually correct, but negative assessments can often be written off to the weirdness of an exhibition.

I would like to say that I was impressed by both the student turnout last night, and by the great energy the pep band brought to the atmosphere of the TED! Great job ladies and gentlemen! Keep it up!

GO MONARCHS!!!

I agree. Both were very good. I like some of the different "schtiks" (spelling) that the pep band has going on. Hopefully, it will be contagious and spread over to the student section which had great attendance last night for the first exhibition game.

Pinckney is nowhere near Caver. Pinckney is a solid back up but Ahmad is our guy. Once he settles in, look for him to log about 35 minutes per game. Saw Kah shooting in warmups. Oh boy is he smooth. Kid has an unbelievable jumper.

I've seen many a player look great in shoot arounds. Then be a lot different when the clock is running and being guarded by other players.

Kah showed the ability to knock down shots from outside the paint in junior college. He has a good jumper with range.

RE: One week out MBB vs VaState
Really look forward to seeing Kah play.

We have all kinds of parts this season, just need to put in the work and see where it all leads.

Was happy to see BJ Stith play. We got there late and first thing we all commented on was who is #3. You can just tell by how some athletes move that they have "it". He is really gonna help us.Once he gets a month of game action under him to shake all the rust off, I can see him going up a level or so. This kid is good. Was also happy to see Carver play. He can help us too.

Gotta put in the work on foul shooting. There is a lot of points to be had at the foul line this year with the aggressive way we play inside. Would sure make things a lot easier on us if we can hit our fair share from the charity stripe.

Gonna have to be patient with this team. Lots of moving parts that have to be sorted out and roles established. Hope the players are patient, too, cause we could be in for big dividends if guys develop the way they seem to have the potential to do.

was last nights game a general admission kind of thing like the NIT games, or were there assigned seats? I thought the crowd looked good on the video.

I don't know, but I sit in 113, and there were a lot of VSU students sitting there.
Clearly, the ushers are only there to keep people from rushing the court. 05-mafia

I am also told he has worked on it a lot and can pop a 3 or two when needed.
