Stadium is slowing regaining her luster, and I still do hope that despite this season's on-field performances so far, that the renovations continue.
At least this year's Homecoming crowd will be able to distract themselves with the new EZF and other cosmetic improvements.
No nachos on the west side. Only on the east side. Why can't the home fans have nachos?

Also, with the change in food vendors there was no one selling pretzel's on the home side (at least that I could find). Didn't take the time to walk to the east side.

Video board did have the score, quarter and time for this game, but the scoreboard at field level on the north end was inoperable. The only full score board was at the south end above the R Room.
I may have been the only one, but I was very underwhelmed by the score/time display on the video board. The text was waaaaayyyyyy too small to read and seemed to be an afterthought or last second addition. Baby steps, however.....

Agreed. Too small of text for the score and time. Couldn't even read it from the far end zone. The scoreboard looked great overall though. The EZF really is a huge improvement for us.
Definitely no more pretzels on the home side. Big fan of the great American cookie addition though.

My guesstimate was that the characters were set to "one foot tall", which is probably the smallest they can be.
With any luck (and getting the right vendor to show up to fix things) we won't need it again this Saturday, but maybe they'll create a default backup for next time that's set it in the bottom corner (either side) and at least "two feet tall", or maybe "three feet tall".
I sit about the 30 yd line on the north end, west side, and could see and read it, but it was small. I can easily see a problem if you are on the south end of the stadium.
What we were seeing I assumed is what would have been the feed for the CUSA or ESPN feed and wasn't necessarily put up to compensate for the scoreboard failures.

I love this post.
It's the quintessential existential metaphor for this season.
No longer do we spend endless texts and threads about football minutiae!!!!! ( well, maybe just a little) No! This season has been reduced to a cry for equal availability of nachos!!!!
And I agree!!!
If we are going to endure this Season in the Wilderness we are going to need nachos on the West Side for God's sake!!!
I'm flying in on Saturday and it will upset me if I don't see nachos. 'Cause I really think I'm going to need them.
And a beer.
Fire Bailiff.

Despite my (and others') comments in other recent threads about the EZF not being able to line up and win games or stop easy long passes by opponents, I am still grateful and glad we have the new EZF and hope for continued improvements to HRS to be announced in the near future, with renderings.
Wondering if/how retaining/firing Coach Bailiff affects possible additional renovation phases of HRS, if they are still planned to come (anyone heard anything new?)
