nice....as underrated as they come in talent....I have their entire discography on a stick in the truck....we listened to it all day today...

....truly enjoy how he maneuvers his vocal chords over various passages....dude reminds me of Weiland with some Maynard James/Serj Tankian in him....

I've posted many of their acoustic sets....here's another of my faves....

Great post- reminds me of one of the 'lost gems' I try to remember to put on here.

I still have my 45rpm of this single! Haven't put much on the ol' turntable in a while. I still have a bunch to convert to cds.

Love the style of harmonies on this single, too!
"Oooooh you make the night time race,
Ooooh I don't need to see your face
Sounding good (sounding good)
Sounding so good to me!"

Chick has a chick-style Ovation, there.

I loved just listening to the radio late nights back then!

Thanks for the memory, Space!

And that one from SpaceRaider reminded me of this one, for some weird reason mind connects these two songs; guess it's the name. I have this one on cassette only (still). Some of my old cassettes, I have to get out the superglue to re-glue the little foam pad that presses the tape to the tape head on my deck.

Artist: Charlie (just Charlie, like "Cher," only "Charlie")
Album: Charlie
Cut: "It's Inevitable"
1983 Polydor Records

Nice 80's jackets everyone's wearing! ha ha!

Artist: Charlie
Album: Fight Dirty
Cut: "Killer Cut"
1979 Arista Records

Artist: Atlanta Rhythm Section
Album: Third Annual Pipe Dream
Cut: "Doraville"
Recorded at: Studio One, Doraville, Georgia
1973 Polydor Records

You left out their best track, stink! These guys still get together(mostly0 to play a set at Eddie's once in a while. Alex died last year, but he put jawja on the map a month before Woodstock.

Deaths of former members

-R.J. Vealey died on November 13, 1999, of a heart attack at age 37.
-Ronnie Hammond died on March 14, 2011 in Forsyth, Georgia, at age 60 of heart failure.
-Robert Nix died on May 20, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, at age 67, from complications following surgery the previous month. He suffered from diabetes and multiple myeloma.
-Paul Goddard died from cancer at age 68 on April 29, 2014, according to his manager.

Hell, Doraville's mostly a wonderous, eclectic mix of Asian and Hispanic these days, doin' very well, and they tore the ol' GM assembly plant down for what will become luxury apartments. No more 'touch of country...just city, but that little city hall remains.

In honor of Anthrax being on Seth's Late show this week I will post a few songs from them....that aren't my usual go to's when I like to post Anthrax songs. I always kind of dug their style of metal back when I was in high school. I liked the fact that they could embrace the emerging rap scene too.

Everlast's change over to more rock centric rap songs was a interesting thing to witness considering his prior rap cds and his time with Ice T's Rhyme Syndicate posse.

From 1990's Forever Everlasting... now that is a LONG way from House of Pain and then his solo career post HoP.

I liked his post HoP stuff. Well, sans the last two he did. One just had horrid production value. The "Whitey" albums were pretty good though. Actually, I liked all 3 HoP cds--even if the first one had the most classics.

Beat me to it. Remember spinning that disc when it came out. Different times. Good post.

is why this thread is the best....it shows the soul, mood, and disregards genre bias....

edit: #jessejamesends

the outro in ends is about as good as it gets....and black hey-zeus is just a stone cold groove.....

RE: OT: CUSA board Music thread (what are you listening to right now?)
I'll go ahead and post their obvious ones:

Artist: Faith No More
Album: We Care A Lot
& Album: Introduce Yourself
Cut: "We Care A Lot"
November, 1985 Mordam Records & April 23, 1987 Slash Records

The title track "We Care a Lot" was later rerecorded for their follow-up album Introduce Yourself and released as their first single. This later version of the song was incorrectly listed as the original and the album Introduce Yourself was also listed as the début in the sleeve notes for some subsequent releases, such as the 1998 compilation Who Cares a Lot?.

Artist: Faith No More
Album: The Real Thing
Cut: "Epic"
June 20, 1989 Slash Records

Artist: Faith No More
Album: The Real Thing
Cut: "Falling To Pieces"
June 20, 1989 Slash Records

RE: OT: CUSA board Music thread (what are you listening to right now?)
I had Faith No More's debut with "Epic." What sucked was I liked the songs they put out on video then I get the tape dubbed for me. Didn't like much else on it. Then they had a few hits afterwards I did like.

*******************

So, off that 3rd HoP cd

*loved the beat on this one
