Who all is going to come to Kansas City? I will host a tailgate if we have enough. Hell, I'll host a tailgate if there's just two of us.

I've heard that we should hopefully be signing a contract to play one more 'major' team on the road. The paperwork should hopefully be signed within the next week. I didn't hear which school, only that it was another national type program.

If it's a top 50 team this schedule would be one our toughest in a very very long time. We played 6 top 50 teams in 2014-15.

I agree. The team wasn't said, only that it was a major team.

We are gonna need some OOC home games at some point.

Looking back at 2014 & 2015, the UAB Basketball schedule has been released on the 3rd Thursday in August.

I believe only Marshall and MTSU have released their's of the 14 teams FWIW. 171 of 351 have been released as of today.

Thanks! Updated...There are still 2 more possible games before we hit the maximum allowed in a season.

Wouldn't be surprised if at least one of those is non D1

One early season game is fine. 2 is not acceptable.

I don't have a problem with one only either. we need to get the young-uns PT and I hate playing sub 300 teams to do it.

Agreed. It's just about unavoidable for a high mid-major.

Anyone else a little surprised the full schedule hasn't been finalized and released? It doesn't affect my season ticket renewal, but I'd think having an officially released schedule prior to the renewal deadline might help ticket sales, especially since there are only 14 home games on the unofficial schedule thus far, compared to the 17-18 in previous years. I will say the lack of non-D1 schools on the schedule at this point is encouraging.

It's looking like there may only be one non D1 school if any at all.

MB looked up the release dates over the past 5 years (I think) and we've released the schedule all through the month of August. They'd be doing themselves a disservice to wait until next week. The news would get buried by the scrimmage. I'm suspecting it comes out today or tomorrow.

FWIW, UTSA, Marshalll, MTSU, and Charlotte are the only CUSA teams who have released their schedules up this point. Around 200 teams have released through today.
