The Scout site is fantastic, and is running a special next week. Iron Eagle has taken over, and he knows Southern Miss football.
I still pay for Lanny's site, too ,so no "favoritism", but the Scout site is the happening pay board right now.

I subbed to GEP for a month. Not sure if I'll renew.

From what I have seen from Iron Eagle on eagle talk, the scout site will be just like Eaglepost within a year. Loves to report the negative and rarely gives credit where credit is due...

BS. He reports on all things, the good , the bad and the ugly. He loves USM but doesn't wear black and gold glasses. Member of BGN and like it but his board won't be a BGN clone....thankfully.

Through the years... no one has been more accurate predicting what Southern Miss will do each season than Iron. Great insight. Does he always paint a pretty picture... no. But you can bet it will be accurate. This is the first I've heard that Iron took over the scout site. I will definitely look into this now. Great news!

We will just have to agree to disagree. I know Inon and I know he loves USM in his heart, but I don't pay for a board to just hear just one side of the story. 9 out of 10 of his informational stories are painted negative, and he races to report it. I don't mind hearing all of the factual info if it is indeed that. However, we need all types of support from all different personalities. I won't pay to hear his type of info that is constantly one sided.

NB has known iron since he was playing in the yard at the Ogletree house (when his grandpa lived in it). Yes the last few years have been impossible but he was negative during the Favre years, the Bower years and the Fedora years.

I haven't posted on EP since the last change but I have been reading the posts and I'm kinda glad they are making this change and may finally die off. Nothing but negativity and the few good posts were quickly hijacked and ridiculed. Scout is a great site that I have been a member of for years and while the writers have recently changed I don't think it is going to go down in quality due to the previous head writer still being a part of the site. And I just started posting here again so I will probably spend even more time here now.

I like IRON.

Everybody likes Iron, but if I am going to pay for a site it needs to have all aspects included. I am not sure he can operate that way.

Have not read any negative on GEP, just great Southern Miss sports info. Posters there have a great community where members have respectful, informative discussions.
