Had Good conversation about black and gold at the caravan tonight

For those who think we might be a P5 team in the future, this article sheds a little light on what it currently takes. Memphis has promised to make a $500 million investment in its sports and academics and the President of FedEx sent a letter pledging its support and confidence in Memphis being a good member of the B12. We're having questions about where to come up with $100 million for the new stadium. Of course, with B12 membership you get 20x the money than in the AAC so it could be done. Is there any major corporation in Hampton Roads that would put it's name, money and support behind ODU for a move to the AAC in a similar capacity? Landmark? Amerigroup? Still? DollarTree? Smithfield Foods? Not sure HyVal Industries will cut it for a move like that. No offense to those guys intended.

I actually think Black and Gold is only acceptable in sports.
Southern Miss and Appalachian State both have unique colors in contrast to the majority of college football. Goes a good way in helping their branding.

Sorry. I only really follow football at the college level. VCU can't field a team so they don't register in my eyes. I'm not a basketball guy, so I never even think about them.
If it makes you feel better I hate their logo, but other people like it? WTF?

Its in RVA magazine. No surprise there. I would hope ODU would win a contest in Hampton Roads too.

The high school I went to had the color scheme of Royal Blue and Silver-grey. We were the Knights. Our biggest rival wore black and gold. Once I came to ODU I evolved to Blue and Silver and became a Monarch (natural progression lol) and our biggest rival wears black and yellow.

Last night, the Sh*tsburgh Penguins knocked my Washington Capitals out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. What color do they wear? You guessed it. I have a serious distaste for the colors black and yellow/gold
