Well, Army did recently to honor the anniversary of the Yale Bowl. It was a dumb decision, that should have cost the AD his job. Unfortunately, we lost and now posters at AGS think that FBS teams will journey to FCS locations.

You beat me to it. It is super rare when that happens, even when a big time P5 School does it(See Ohio State playing at Navy)....

Technically that was a neutral site game. The game was at M&T Bank Stadium (Ravens Stadium), not at Navy's campus.

Toledo has done the same thing with Ohio State, but Cleveland Browns Stadium. It was a nice pay day for Toledo.

RE: Could this be the next UAB?
Most FBS conferences have a rule you can't play a FCS school at their home in football. That would not apply to Army as they are independent. It is very tough to for a FBS G5 school to Get a home game with a P5 school
FBS college Football is the only sport in the world that you cannot tell all
Of the members classified as FBS (128 schools)win all your games and you will be
The Champion.
Heck if each of the 10 FBS conference champs ended up
Undefeated only 4 would go to the playoff and the remaining
6 undefeated schools would not. It is by far the dumbest system ever
Let's see NFL. 28 teams. 12 go to the playoffs and they are considering going to 14
College football FCS ,division 2 and 3 all have 20+ teams in their playoffs
FBS. 4 teams. Total BS. The power conferences don't want a G5 team like a Boise State or Houston or WKU ever to get in the playoffs because should they win all bets are off. You don't think that's a recruiting advantage to say only 5 of the 10 conferences have a chance to ever play for a national championship.

Navy is FBS, a FB-affiliate of the American Athletic Conference. It is one of only three schools sometimes included in the original, informal references to an Ivy League that are still playing FBS Football.
None of the three still in FBS were "core" members of the informal "Ivy League", and none were invited to join the Ivy League after WWII when the conference was formalized.
The other two "sometimes thought of as Ivies" were Rutgers and ... Army, which provides the historical background for that Anniversary trip to the Yale Bowl. Army used to play at Yale fairly regularly, but many of those games were back when playing at Yale was playing big time college football.

Yea, college football is the most dysfunctional sport in the world of athletics, in how it is set up.

I think Army and Navy should join the IVY league for all sports but football, same deal they have with the patriot league.

But, would FBS schools want to play at Tennessee State? It is in Nashville, and they play in the Titan's football stadium. That would give the kids at FBS schools an experience in playing in a pro stadium.

There's plenty of FBS schools (Temple, South Florida, San Diego State, Pitt, Georgia State, UMass) that play in NFL stadiums, and that's not including neutral-site game possibilities. No FBS program is willingly going to play at Tennessee State just to have an NFL stadium experience.

I actually wouldn't be averse to playing at an occasional FCS stadium IF we also got P5 schools to play us at home. Well, we'll get the rare P5 school, but OSU or Michigan would never play at our place.

Tennessee State was at 1A or FBS in the early 1980s before they dropped down to FCS.

Neat. It's 2016. No FBS school is going to play a road game against an FCS school just because they play in an NFL stadium.

Maybe Vanderbilt could pull that off? Play their cross town rivals in Tennessee State, and still call it home.
Temple and Villanova did share stadiums as home. They just flip flop each year they played when Villanova was home team one year.
FBS teams could play Stony Brook at Yankee Stadium. It would be home for Stony, but still be called a neutral site.
