Un-freaking-real.
http://miami.cbslocal.com/2016/03/11/tee...homeowner/
Quote:Relatives of a 17-year-old are angry the teenager was shot and killed by a homeowner who police say was protecting her property.
The sister of the teen who died identified him as Trevon Johnson. She said he was a student at D. A. Dorsey Technical College.
“I don’t care if she have her gun license or any of that. That is way beyond the law… way beyond,” said Johnson’s cousin Nautika Harris. “He was not supposed to die like this. He had a future ahead of him. Trevon had goals… he was a funny guy, very big on education, loved learning.”
Quote:“What’s wrong with her,” asked Johnson’s sister Nisha Johnson. “She did not have to shoot him.”
“It’s no reason she should have waited until I think he walked out the yard to try to shoot him,” said Harris. “If she called the police already why would she shoot him?”
Relatives said they don’t believe Johnson stole anything from the home but detectives would not confirm that.
“You have to look at it from every child’s point of view that was raised in the hood,” said Harris. “You have to understand… how he gonna get his money to have clothes to go to school? You have to look at it from his point-of-view.”

Interesting take on the alleged breakin:
Quote:“You have to look at it from every child’s point of view that was raised in the hood,” said Harris. “You have to understand… how he gonna get his money to have clothes to go to school? You have to look at it from his point-of-view.”

It's still burglary, even if you didn't end up stealing something.
It seems odd that the dude was already out of the house when she shot him.

That is self defense in many hoods.

Was he shot in the back fleeing or in the chest approaching? This is more important than in house v outside, imo.

Maybe just don't seem so overjoyed that a kid is dead
for breaking into a house? That doesn't mean you have to feel sorry for him, or think that the homeowner should be punished, or think guns should be banned, or any other thing you might want to twist this into.
Maybe he would have grown into a violent career criminal, as most of you seem to think that was a foregone conclusion. Or maybe he was a 17 year old knucklehead doing something stupid, and he got unlucky. Ben Carson was a violent thug as a youth (lol), guess the world would have been better off if he had been killed as well?

Id like to know more facts before rendering an opinion. The fact that he was killed outside the home troubles me a bit.

The entire thing goes directly against what you are taught to do in CC classes.

So we should have let him lived to see if he would commit more crimes or not? Yep, that's pretty logical
Bottom line, he committed a crime, he got what he deserved.

Exactly...but around here, that's crazy talk...they want more dead black kids...they want to call them all 'thug' and enjoy their death...its typical of the GOP extremists on here.
They all want be the old white guy who punched the trump protesters...they should be locked up like him.
