I know always are subject to change but I have heard Kasich say a couple times in the past couple months he is not interested in being the VP. He said it on the radio a few weeks ago (forgot who I was listening to) and then he said it on CNN I believe a month or so ago as well.

That's just political. Saying you're willing to be VP will create a narrative that you've abandoned hope of being POTUS. You can usually tell those willing to be a VP by their attacks on the top of the pack. The only way you can get movement these days is through attacks and both Kasich and Carson (except for Cruz) have avoided criticizing the top 3.

Kasich said last night that he wants to give the Korean Peninsula to the Chinese and has in past debates implied he wants to go to war with Russia. Why he appeals to the liberals and faux libertarians on this board is beyond me.

It must be frustrating for him. He knows that he is the most experienced and proven leader in the race and can not get traction. Im hoping for him to win Ohio and somehow get some momentum.

I read where Christie was really frustrated. He just couldn't believe Rubio was getting all that support.

Rubio's camp kept pushing the narrative that Jeb and Kasich needed to get out of the race, even after finishing behind them in New Hampshire. Its part of the game. People don't want to "waste" their vote.

I think the libertarians focus on his economic stuff. The liberals don't find him threatening to their plans.

Being an Ohio resident and having lived in Columbus for years, I have seen Kasich first hand. I remember once reading a quote from former Ohio Governor George Voinovich who aptly described Kasich as "A solid Republican with a bit of an Independent Streak".

He is pro-life yet he has stated he does not believe in attacking Planned Parenthood.

He has stated Climate Change is real yet in the same breath has stated the EPA should not regulate carbon emissions.

He has presided over the execution of a half dozen death row inmates, yet a couple years ago he has put a freeze on capital punishment.

He has stated he is a supporter of traditional marriage, yet but he has "moved on" from opposing same sex marriage as the law has been settled (fwiw, Columbus is a very gay-friendly town).

He states he has issues with the ACA yet he opted to accept Medicaid expansion, supports covering pre-existing conditions and use of insurance exchanges.

On immigration he calls for a path for "legal status" but not citizenship for illegal immigrants.

On economics he has taken Ohio from a deficit to a surplus.

Rubio tried to pull the same tactic on Trump that Christie pulled on him last time. It came off as stupid and once again, the Republican candidates for President made complete fools of themselves.

It's sad when the two most reasonsable candidates don't get a word in edge wise because of the three other buffoons.

That's what happens when you let the crazies in your party take over.

You got a full blown commie and a psychopath running for the Dem spot, but yet the crazies are in the Republican debates. Go figure.

I think that Marco is still dead man walking. If he can't win a state on Tuesday he's got to quit before Florida (down by 20 points). If he loses his own primary he can forget about ever being considered for VP. He had a good night, bounced back from that bad debate last month and remains a viable candidate for 2020 or 2024.

Marco helped himself as much as he possibly could last night. Will it be enough? We'll see.

I just wish Donald would stop that talking back at the same time someone is explaining something to Him. He just refuses to listen sometimes and that's not always a good idea.
