I voted for Hillary today in the hope of helping to stop Bernie. In the general, I'll vote for whomever the libertarians nominate--for the ninth time in a row.

Of course you did. She's a corporatist too.

It wasn't a vote for Hillary, it was a vote against Bernie. Given a choice between corporatist and communist, I'll vote for the corporatist to eliminate the communist.

In the general I will have a non-corporatist candidate, and that's where I'll vote. This vote was strictly a vote against Bernie, and absolutely nothing else.

Seriously folks. Those are all GREAT schools. There isn't a "better" school...just a better at <insert subject matter or career path> school.

I was just trolling, I couldn't care less about who is "better" at what. The Ivies, with their safe spaces and trigger warnings, are all quickly becoming nothing more than institutions of far left, libtard indoctrination.

I liked those schools when looking and they are tremendous learning institutions. However, too many of the classes are just too full of liberals that do not allow opposing thoughts. I think the student body stuff is just a minority of students being silly and needing attention.

I don't believe in the Harvard MBA case study approach to the exclusion of other approaches (I'm assuming it hasn't changed in the last few years).

When I went there (1980s) it was exclusively case study and was an exceptional way of learning. Clearly beat the lecture route. Because of the cold calling and class participation being as much as 80% of your grade, you went to every case fully prepared and ready to present and defend your position.

In the past 10 years, there has been a movement to add more project oriented aspects and outside the classroom practice (FIELD). But case studies are still the foundation. ( Current curriculum )

When I taught part time in a local MBA program from 1990 to 2012, as part of a team teaching approach with a number of HBS graduates, we used case studies exclusively and the students loved it.

One last thought. We always said that the Charles River, which separates the Boston based Business School from the main Cambridge campus, was both an ideological and geographical boundary.

There's no amendment that says you can't be challenged for what you say.

Opening libel laws to sue journalists? Who the phuck does he think he is? That protection is exactly why we have the 1st Amendment freedom of the press.

Actually the first amendment only protects your ability to make speech...not the repercussions of that speech. We have libel laws that treat so-called "public figures" differently with regard to speech as opposed to other citizens. Personally, I am okay with eliminating that distinction and treating everyone on a level playing field.

yep. these laws have been overused and formulated in a way to make it impossible to ever be enforced. For instance, the news outlet flat out lied and fabricated a tape of George Zimmerman. But the case was thrown out, because George Zimmerman was considered famous. But the reason George Zimmerman became famous was because the news lied about him in the first place; he was not famous prior to the fabricated tape recording.
I think some adjustments can be made to hold the press/journalists to higher standards of truth when reporting public affairs. There is nothing scary about that.

Trump's problem is that he has zero subtlety and speaks in such broad generalities that anything he says ends up sounding however you feel about him.

neil cavuto....maria bartiromo.....

those two are solid....the rest are why I stopped watching that shite moons ago....and dadgummit, by default, I'm being forced to redux.....

ONLY opinion show I watch is Cavuto at 4. Dobbs is pretty good but the 7PM slot doesn't work for me.
