Mississippi does suck (except Hattiesburg and a few select parts of the Coast) but not sure why the FAU poster brought it up. Seems very random.

I mean there's a reason people from Louisiana, and a few other states, say "Thank God for Mississippi". Otherwise we would be the worst in a lot of categories.

I am not from Mississippi, but I love Mississippi. People who claim to hate Mississippi have never been anywhere truly awful. I've been all over the world, including a lot of places with good test scores, high incomes, etc., and I'd rather spend a weekend in Gulfport than just about anywhere else. The only reason I left is that my dumb*** left-winger wife thought it was too redneck.

I'm familiar with that campaign. There's a little good in the state (like I said I love Hattiesburg and a few areas of the Coast) but much of the people and the political climate leave a lot to be desired.

I am beginning to understand the liberal agenda aimed at MS. If everyone in MS were gay and we offered free "healthcare procedures" for all pregnant women, all of the citizens of the state would become extinct and the libs could turn the place into a national park.

But when I was a police officer I carried a Sig P220 with Hogue grips and Trigicon night sights... I LOVED it...then I changed departments. The department that I went to carried Springfield XD 40 's...so I sold my Sig for a backup of the same caliber as my new duty weapon... A week later, after telling us we were going to glock 40's, my Chief said.. "Hey... Great news! We are going to Glock 21's!" I was sooooo PISSED!

The best part about this is I'm a registered republican.
I believe in many of the fiscal ideas of being conservative and the idea that the government shouldn't interfere with marriage or someone who chooses not to have a child.
The problem with my party is they only want big government when its favorable.
