WMU is blazing a recruiting trail like never seen before in our conference. Ever. And, they won their first Bowl game ever.
Toledo won their bowl game, too....and lost their coach, and still rank better than us...with a new coach.
Miami O has been horrid....just putrid...and they outrank us.
Everybody's way is wrong and without morals and lacking in the credibility department. Everyone, but us.
We aint beating Iowa....or WMU...again...with these recruits. Sorry. We have a somewhat loaded gun still left and we will have our prized recruits and those that show up, but if the trend continues, we will be left in the dust.
We don't just keep winning b/c we are NIU. We have had amazing fortune that appeared to be drying up if you witnessed what I did...QB nightmare or not.

and what happened to our recruiting in the state of Florida? Didn't we play in the Orange Bowl a few years back and the Boca Raton bowl last year? There must not be any players down there we are interested in anymore.

Yeah, people can exclude recruiting rankings all they want but there is a reason they are there. From 2010-2014, NIU's recruiting rankings were strong and in the top 3-4 of the MAC. This season however is VERY concerning. I hope I am wrong but I am fearing a downfall unless things change.

The entire south has been excluded from this class. Not only were we recruiting Florida but other states such as Texas, Alabama, Georgia, and Arkansas were included in recent classes as well.

When you only give out 50 offers you aren't going to get many of the better players. It seems that to get an offer a player has to commit before the offer is extended. Even under Doerren we gave out upwards of 100 offers. More than in the past kids need to be massaged more frequently and shown the love before they become interested. I would like to see Thad Ward as recruiting coordinator as Diersen doesn't seem like the right personality fit.

I shall withhold judgment until the class is announced. I agree that this class appears to come up short, so far.
