Unless they figure out something for an on-campus bowl, seriously doubt Charlotte adds a bowl with the Belk Bowl, ACC Championship, and Panthers all in December.

Charleston or Atlanta would be pretty solid.

Once the renovations at Memorial Stadium are done, that could be a nice spot for a G5 bowl.

...or did that fall through?

I think they are going through with them but will it really be nice enough to host a bowl game.

Watching SEC vs AAC as we speak and both travelled VERY well. Not happening.

It's Auburn and Memphis...both extremely close. Wait until they get something like a Temple vs. A&M matchup and we will see.

The key for most bowls going forward is to NOT get that matchup.

Bowl contracts are in place for what another 4 years? We aren't getting Bham bowl nor would I want it.

Ha, easy to say from a school in Texas who has 4 or 5 bowls close by...Eastern teams need another bowl, Birmingham or Atlanta would be great locations for these bowls...

It's an illusion of closeness.. ABQ and TUS are honestly no easier for Rice fans than Boca. Both require flights.

Didn't have to worry about it this year; probably won't have to next year either.

Birmingham is contracted until the 2020 season. If you guys want to pull them away, it's going to take a while. By that point, neither the current AAC or CUSA could look remotely similar to the way they do now.

I'd love to have a shot at a bowl like Birmingham! WKU would have no less than 10K and upwards of 15K+. We had 5-7K 1000 miles away in Miami

I wouldn't mind replacing the Bahamas bowl with one in ATL or Charleston. Just no more bowls beyond 40.

I am calling it right now. Tech to New Mexico, USM to Dallas, an East team to NOLA and the Eastern Division team to Boca.

I like FAU's stadium better than Tropicana Field, so I really don't mind. As long as the Herd is going to Florida and not Texas.

Myrtle Beach would be an amazing bowl destination as the fall it's filled with golfers (sports fans). Only drawback is do they need the tourism $$? Might not be worth the investment to them since they are pretty well set with incoming cash 9 months out of the year.

No stadium.

Coastal Carolina is pretty close...and expanding their stadium.

Myrtle would be awesome, but if Savannah got a bowl, even better

Since you brought it up, the New Orleans Bowl tried to drop CUSA before last season, but was unable to get a deal signed on with the AAC. They chose instead to tie in with the SBC in Orlando and create a new bowl game.

Why would they do that?

Ever been to Savannah? Beautiful city. However, now that you mention it, those g-d "no see 'ems" would eat your ass alive...myrtle it is....or Charleston
