You think so? I guess it's possible, but in today's college sports environment, I feel like our people would be on the phone with organizers of bowls all over.

The Hawaii bowl needs to go away. They should schedule a Pac 12 team vs a MW team. I don't know if any school from CUSA can send a good crowd to the islands.

Agreed. In that scenario I think we send UTSA to Hawaii.

I was just thinking that they wouldn't send UTSA to Hawaii for their first bowl game.. If the Arizona Bowl doesn't get a TV deal with ESPN or Fox, I wonder if it will go away.

I can't see us sending rice there twice in a row. Maybe they would get New Orleans. Heck I could see Tech just barely getting eligible and having to go to Hawaii.

I think it's about there aren't many bowls on the east coast outside of Florida. The Bahamas bowl shouldn't have been in the Bahamas. It should've been on the east coast. We need to push for the AAC's Birmingham Bowl slot.

Hopefully out West UTSA (NM), UTEP (Ari) and Rice (HI) go bowling next year.

If Rice goes to a bowl, they won't be sent to Hawaii for the second time in three years. If those three teams are eligible, I think they'd send UTEP to Hawaii, Winner of UTSA/Rice to NM, and loser to AZ.

Good point.

If UTEP is eligible they are headed to Arizona or New Mexico unless they are Dallas bound.

Rice to the NO bowl makes all the sense in the world.

Unfortunate for CUSA-E this is a western conference. Our best bowl is HoD and you want to move headquarters east? Crazy talk.

Is anyone watching the Arizona Bowl? Crowd looks decent and it is well supported locally. This bowl needs to stick.

I'm watching. It's heartbreaking to know that we should be playing there right now. Had we made that game winning fg against Tech I would be in Tucson cheering my Miners.

Would C-USA have played in Shreveport this year if we had enough bowl eligible?

How did TULSA get in ?

With Georgia State buying Turner Field in Atlanta and redoing it, that would be a good bowl site. Would like to see the Bahamas Bowl moved there.

When the question was asked the local media was told Tech was not made available to the bowl. I have no doubt they would've preferred Tech or USM over Tulsa.

I think that's a good idea as long as we aren't adding a bowl. Move Bahamas.

Easy. Offer them UAB or our eastern division champ. I would send our eastern division champ to Birmingham and our Western division champ to Dallas. Why should they stick with AAC?

Don't forget that other bowl games may be certified for next season. If the Medal of Honor Bowl in Charleston comes online, that would be a good landing spot for a CUSA East team.

I think this year really hurt the chances for Medal of Honor, unless it replaces Arizona.

There's no reason we should have 3 bowls against the MWC. That's not a knock on the MWC, but there should be no more than 2 against any single conference on the scheduled lineup if we have a minimum number of tie-ins.

I have been saying it for years, We need another eastern location bowl tie in or a bowl game in Atlanta....Myrtle Beach, Charlotte, or Charleston would work as well...

Atlanta might work a few years down the line when Georgia State opens their stadium.

Unless they figure out something for an on-campus bowl, seriously doubt Charlotte adds a bowl with the Belk Bowl, ACC Championship, and Panthers all in December.

Charleston or Atlanta would be pretty solid.

It will stick even without ESPN. I notice how excited the players were even though it was a inter-conference bowl game. ASN & Campus Insiders were excited and fully invested to broadcast it and ASN got quite a lot of stations to show the game, because even bowl games like this one people still will watch.
Keep an eye on this bowl, I think we'll see this one grow and it could lead to a date closer to Jan 1 and could eventually lead to a 'champions' bowl between the MW and CUSA.

I'm bummed that CUSA couldn't send a team to Arizona this year. UTEP/UTSA would both travel very well to this bowl.
