RE: EZF Construction Thread
Roof panels covering much of the main structure make it look more like a building than just steel. Wonder how much all the recent rains affected the schedule? I'm sure they built in delay time. It is exciting to watch the addition take more shape.

Camera now pointed at one of the entrances. I guess they don't want anyone accidentally watching the game.

Upper part of ramp to field is in place. They have some temporary 'fencing' on top of the roof. Wonder if they could eventually decide to have permanent railings up there and move the Roost to on top of the EZF? Of course, the roof panels and supports would have had to be rated properly to handle the potential high load.

True, there could be tens of people standing up there at any given time.

Any contingency plans on what to use this building for if we drop to D3 and move football to the track stadium?

You could have moved the Charlotte crowd in there and gotten them out of the weather.

Why is the endzone camera pointed at one of the entrances? Does anyone know why?

It's fixed now. After each game (maybe during the game) the camera shows the entrance gate instead of the EZF. Sometimes they forget to reset the camera.

Afflicted, it's not like you can see much of the field during the games, so it's kind of weird. So we don't see the ball in the air on pass plays or field goals and kicks? So you have to be there in person if you want to see the progress on it that day?

Probably has something to do with conference broadcasting rights. I hadn't thought about that until your post, but someone has paid for broadcasting rights and anything that could detract from that might be an issue. Sounds ridiculous, but maybe it's better safe than sorry.
We had a change in umbrella policy despite the fact that umbrella's really aren't an issue for us at this point in time. But it's what everyone else is requiring, so it got applied here as well.

Hadn't thought of that angle. Thanks, Rick. Someone out there may be watching our broadcasts. Who knew?

Has anyone seen renderings of the inside? I've only seen the original 2 or 3 angles of the exterior that were posted with the announcement. I'm sure by now someone has them and it would be cool to make a "fly through" of some sort that recruits and their parents can look at (and fans of course).
