Matt Campbell was checking out houses in Ames two years ago when he was coach at UT and telling his wife how great the place was.

I thought that might happen. When MOB discussed the coaching search, he said something like "I know I have my preference". ugh

O'Brien took the easy road...wanted to appease the players and maybe a few others. I'm not sold, not happy. But, I guess we will see what becomes of this next November. With the talent returning, we should be competing for a MAC title next season. If we're around .500 come November, I think a lot of us will be looking for new leadership. And I may suggest by that point that perhaps O'Brien's best days at UT have passed...

The only two good things out of this, is that it might save the recruits that Campbell doesn't steal and we will have a new offensive coordinator.

I have never met Coach Candle, he now leads our ROCKETS and I support him 100%. I think he is the easy choice for everyone, players, parents, MOB. If MOB thinks he is ready I can go along.
