Astros great Berkman riles Houston mayor after making ad blasting LGBT law

You have any evidence of this outside of circumstantial?
Quote:Sam would have been drafted and would have made a gameday roster had he not come out of the closet.
Based on what? He would not be the first guy to win a conference award that did not see an NFL game day roster. You've been shown his combine numbers.
Quote:The Texans support employment discrimination against Gay players.
Or they oppose other people being forced to open up their bathrooms to transgender. That is not the same thing.
The law says nothing about bathrooms. It specifically allows the Texans to keep queers off their team.
You are truly ignorant and stupid Tom. We have provided evidence to the contrary, but you keep ignoring the facts, that's why I WILL VOTE NO.

Where are the openly Gay players
Where are the openly Gay coaches
Where are the openly Gay assistant coaches
Why was Chris Kluwe fired and his coach retained
Again,
HERO has nothing to do with a bathroom. It has everything with protecting the Texans' right to keep the NFL queer free.

So how many openly gay players enter the draft?
Do you want every gay player to come out?
How come Michael Sam didn't make a formal complaint against the St. Louis Rams or the NFL?

Actually, his claim would be against the Houston Texans, for not drafting him because he is Gay.
But he has no legal vehicle to do so, because it is LEGAL for the Texans to not hire someone for being Gay.
And the Texans want to continue that discrimination.

You've been shown the public accommodations clause many times. Where is the word "Texans" in the law?

So based on every objective measurement Sam was nowhere near the NFL prospect that Clowney was. He wasn't as good as 14 other DE tested at the combine.
So, now that we have some actual numbers, how many DE's were drafted ahead of Sam?
Another false argument is saying the Rams drafted him because they didn't need a DE so it would be easier to cut him. 2 problems with that. The first, you basically admit that he was not good enough to suplant someone already on the roster. If you are not better than the person ahead of you on the depth chart you don't play. Secondly, lots of teams draft players they don't 'need'. Aaron Rodgers was drafted by the Packers when Favre was at his best. They didn't NEED a QB yet drafted one anyways

LOL all you want honey.
You know how this is going to go down...
With NFL Sundays turning into liberal estrogen festivals. Hope you like Whine..Because we're bringing a whole vinyard of it.
---
You see, we can't really touch McNair. We can touch the other NFL owners, who want voters to give them billion dollar gifts. I suppose we can try to get cities to mandate that the regulated cable system monetize the subsidy to each professional sports team and allow viewers to opt out with a discount off of every offered deal equal to the NFL subsidy.
Seriously, I don't watch the NFL. I watch college (and my team plays in a conference that doesn't get much from TV). Why should I have to pay the NFL 300 bucks a year to get cable TV?

Please. The Rams never gave Sam a chance. He would have had a chance had all NFL teams not discriminated against him, solely because he is Gay.
If Rodgers had come out of the closet before he went into the league, no one would have drafted him. And if he came out of the closet while active in the league, he'd be tossed. Maybe he, or someone like him, will come out after their playing days are over and, like all the other players who was in the closet while in the league, will confirm my assertion that the league is very anti-Gay and that discrimination is rife.

Employment discrimination is directly mentioned.
Public accommodations is also mentioned, but that does not change bathroom laws. Retention or rejection of HERO will not change any laws regarding raping kids in a restroom, flashing people in a restroom, or assaulting a child in a restroom
What HERO does change is that the Texans would face legal action if they discriminate in employment on the basis of sexual orientation. And that the 2017 Super Bowl will not humiliate transgendered fans who choose to attend.

Where are the Texans specifically mentioned in the law?
Employment discrimination is directly mentioned.
Public accommodations is also mentioned, but that does not change bathroom laws. Retention or rejection of HERO will not change any laws regarding raping kids in a restroom, flashing people in a restroom, or assaulting a child in a restroom.
What HERO does change is that the Texans would face legal action if they discriminate in employment on the basis of sexual orientation.

Enjoy your . You know what's going to happen. The 2017 Super Bowl...sponsored by the Homosexual Agenda and Transgendered Whining. Enjoy.

Please. The Rams never gave Sam a chance. He would have had a chance had all NFL teams not discriminated against him, solely because he is Gay.

The Rams used a draft pick on him. They obviously thought he was worthy of that. If they didn't plan on giving him a chance, why waste a draft pick?
He got drafted. That puts him in front of the line for a roster spot ahead of a lot of people.

He also got a chance with Dallas and Montreal (CFL) if I'm not mistaken...

Yes he did. But I just wanted to try to keep Tom focused. I'm still trying to figure out how he thinks Sam was a better NFL prospect than Clowney
