what if bringing in the option and a great option coach would guarantee at least 7 wins a year for the next 5 years. Would you do it then?

I agree with Panama I think we can win with this offense. Got some tinkering to do. For starters move kyler neal to FB. Our Kline is awful and that's putting it nicely. I'm conflicted I want the wins but I would not mind a new coach. The excuse kinda add up to nothing in the end. The defense was a surprise in the second half. I don't know if it was just Charlotte or them just finding themselves but the second half of d I liked.

No. Negative. We have 3 drop back passers on the roster. We are not switching to N option offense. And offense is not a problem.

Let's see what Etheridge does this week with the OL. If we still can't run this week I think it's time to sound the alarm.

Again, our QB led the SBC in passing yards and TDs even after we lost every scholarship RB week 5. We arent going to spend another 3 to 4 years retooling this roster to run the option.

I think it is vital for our school's athletic identity or lack therefore of to not run the option. If we run the option, we are already the lesser known GSU and just to shadow them a little more we just happen to run the offense. I am fine with us being pass happy. I just hope we can balance it out or at least make our backs a little more efficiency when running the ball. It doesn't matter to me, run first, past first, balanced, as long as we don't run the option.

Haha. Stubborn as always. Suit yourself.
We just a 3 star WR commit yesterday despite the Friday debacle. And Ruiz and Harden will likely get drafted. No need to change the offense.
UGA, GT, Georgia Southern, Mercer, even Kennesaw State. What do they all have in common? They run the football effectively. Not saying you need to go full triple option. But running the football at some point might not be a bad idea. I know you're thin in that area, but there's no excuse for that. This is Georgia, running backs grow on trees. Swing a dead cat and you hit 1 5-star, 3 4-stars, and 5 3-stars. Keep that defense off the field and keep Arbuckle on it and upright.
In fairness to CTM and this staff they've, allegedly, have been trying to establish a run game.

I doubt he would be interested but with the position Ga State is in if I were AD the first person I would call would be Tommy Bowden.
He's not going to win you any championships but he can build the framework for your next coach to be able to. Excellent recruiter, and he was the one who got the ball rolling on the facility improvements at Clemson.

Curry was recruitng for FCS. His recruiting was not bad for FCS . His coaching hires were. Miles' FBS recruiting has been horrible.
Ehh....I don't know...even Miles said he wouldn't have recruited most of the guys he inherited from Curry.

Yep.
Well yeah he wouldn't have recruited them because they were FCS players. But is his recruiting better? I mean we are offering HS backups. LOL.
To clarify, Miles said he wouldn't have recruited them even if he was recruiting FCS players.
Yeah, we've put some guys in the NFL. But Curry's staff had a horrible reputation in Georgia high schools.
In my opinion, Curry's time had passed him; and, he should of retired a year earlier than he did.

Not going to lie I wanted him to come here. Before they hired miles.

Eh....he's working as an analyst and a public speaker. His buyout payments from Clemson ran out a long time ago.

Age was not why we had a terrible reputation in high schools. His assistants gave us a terrible reputation in high schools. They were baaaad. Funny, we're talking about Curry being too old and 61 year old Terry Bowden in the same sentence. Bill Snyder would like a word...
As for Miles and who he would recruit, again, we just offered a backup DL. I am struggling to see where recruiting is better under Miles.
