This prediction makes no logical sense. They have us ranked number 7 in the conference with wins against numbers 5 and 6, and losses against numbers 1, 2, and 3. At worst we would be ranked 5th if they assume App St is better than us and 4th if they assume us better than App St.
Not to mention that they have Georgia Southern at 10-2 and only losses to an SEC and a Big 12 at number 82. And ULL at 10-2 with losses to an SEC and a rival at number 81.
If both of those teams go 10-2 with losses to the teams predicted here, they will both be top 40 teams easily and depending on how Georgia and west Virginia do this year, Georgia Southern could be ranked in the top 25.
Rankings are not conference wide but overall. You'd be 4th in the league if that happened, but might be 7th best in overall numbers because of the lack of a quality victory and your previous low ranking to begin the season because of bias.
It's the flaw in any ranking system like that. You have limited growth potential because you are not considered to be very good to begin with.
I know this isn't a conference standing, but my point is that if you beat numbers 99 and 103 and your only losses are to numbers 17, 72, 81, 82, and 91. At worse, you would be somewhere between 91 and 99. You wouldn't be sitting at 105.
That's also assuming that everything else they have is correct. Including wins and losses and rating number. Which I also don't agree on.
