Aren't you the poster posting this emoticons all over the place regarding UAB Football:
That's right. Now go back and read ALL of my posts concerning UAB. That's my prediction not my wish. There are many of us fitting that category, by the way.
Oh you're entitled to your opinion. I do believe that is your wish as well, but that is my opinion. And yes, there are many of you.......

It seems if is a 1 or 2 win teams in the next three years, support will drop again. Curious what the NCAA rules are even for such a scenario of a sport being dropped and added back.
You guys are making it seem as if UAB has been out of FBS level for years now. Granted we'll have some recruiting to do but not all 85 scholarship players left UAB. Sources on BlazerTalk have indicated 40-45 players are still on campus.
CUSA and Bano has indicated the desire for UAB Football to be reinstated. They probably also understand this isn't going to be the 2014 UAB Football team and it will take a couple of years to get back to that level. And it may not take that long.
I keep hearing mention of the "40-45" players but how many are on scholarship? There were 55 transfers from an 85 team squad. I am not sure how many graduated to go along with the transfers but there is no way there are that many scholarships players on campus. The math does not add up.
Whether it adds up or not is really not your concern now is it? If UAB Football is reinstated, CUSA will be ready to welcome us back and help with the transition back into the conference from a football perspective.
Then you can go back to analyzing the growth of the Sun Belt and the wonderful possibilities that lie ahead for that conference.

I think msm96wolf is actually a NCST wolfack guy. Why the kneejerk hostility towards the SunBelt?

Really confused why you are making a SB reference? My team is in the ACC and P5. I just love college football. I think Watts screwed you all big time. I hope you get football back but I will call BS on the other side when so called statements don't align with the data. I hope UAB gets their program back and CUSA will allow them to grow the program right instead throwing them to the wolves. No pun intended.

It's not hostility. Quite frankly, it has become somewhat irritating seeing all of you Sun Belters over here pimping your schools while showing your angst about the trail and tribulations of UAB Football. Some of you have spent more time on this board than you have the Sun Belt Board.
I get it, UAB is the hot conversation right now and I know you want your teams to move up into a better situation. msm96wolf has been all over the UAB Football fiasco posting links on the College Football Realignment Board and sharing his thoughts here.
It just gets old after while and I will be glad when all of you go back home.

RE: UAB report reveals costs to reinstate football
I agree with BamaScorpio69.There have been more posts here from SBC folks and others than people from this board.I can see where that would be VERY frustrating-especially to UAB folks.
C-USA folks support UAB!!!
We want you to stay!!
Hopefully this will all come to a good end June 1st.

Fair enough. I won't comment further on UAB football since it's getting irritating for some of you but I do reserve the right to post on this forum as long as I'm allowed. All of our programs are very similar in nature, recruiting the same players, playing one another most years, etc. As a college football fan, for me, this entire site is home.

Hey, I respect your situation and post only to the realignment board about the UAB situation. Hope UAB gets the results they hope for.

Let me guess... it ain't "sport", it ain't "bubba"... it's JEEVES!!!! (BINGO!).
I know where the Sun Belt board is, TYVM. Maybe I'm just trying my best to adjust to the STRONG POSSIBILITY my team's going to be leaving the conference we founded... the conference that hatched most of YOU. Can you just give a brother (or equivalent to C-USA's "genetic Eve") a minute please? I'm sure eventually I'll come around.
In the meantime... UAB... PLEASE unite in a campaign to get 60 Minutes on this... save us both from our otherwise inevitable fate.
