Yes you are right, if
coach k Only had that team for that one game he losses, but if he had that team for 3 years like Josh he may have won
I would contend that we likely would have won more games in the regular season, got a higher seed and by avoiding tough matchups early on we probably would have advanced further in the tournament. I still think our team was so outmatched against MSU we could have played them 10 times with your choice of coach and we would have lost every time.

Something most of the recent transfers never had.
Yep, that's it. Throw the players under the bus. You've learned well from the boy wonder. As a side note, who recruited all these transfer players who you refer to as having no heart?
ERRONEOUS!!! Coach Josh Pastner has just had a run of bad luck with the transfers and highly ranked players not panning out once they get on campus. The recruits are in cahoots with the recruiting analysts in a conspiracy to discredit our coach. That's the ticket.
Actually, quite a few of them did work out, the teams won a ton of games, made four consecutive tourneys, advanced in the last two of them, went undefeated in conference, won conference tourneys, were players of the year, mended up in the NBA or other professional leagues...but...indeed, were just short of elite Sweet 16 level so this sort of mocking must continue.
Holy Smokes!!!! Undefeated in conference?!?!?!?! Surely that team managed to make it to the second weekend. What with dominating an elite conference and whatnot.
Are you another one of them corny ones so desperate to get your Internet snark points and get your Internet high fives that you somehow missed the fact that I posted, and have nearly always argued...that our teams were unfortunately...SHORT OF ELITE.
So desperate to assail...you assail with the breathers...by mocking a fan for posting that our teams were elite...garnered from that fan posting....the teams were DHORT IF ELITE.
You guys have issues.
Next they will get mad that if I post that I thought Pastner used a poor substitution pattern...and get that they will get angry...for likening a substitution pattern.
And god forbid Memphis wins a game and a fan gets excited.
THAT will really anger some.
Watch how angry they get over this.

Coach K wouldn’t have matched DJ against 6-10 255lb Adreian Payne either.
A good coach can coach up and develop talent to get the most out of his player’s ability. Our coach had 2 top 10 recruiting classes in a row and couldn’t compete with good teams.
After 6 years it should be obvious where the answer lies.

Looks like it's you and a few others on here who get their feeling hurt if ya'll's wonder boy, who after 6 years is criticized in anyway. Us real Tiger fans are concerned about the downward spiral our program is going in, only concerned about the drop in attendance over the last 3 years (butts in seats, not announced attendance), which will lead to a drop in TSF donations, only concerned about the apathy that's setting in under Pastner as head coach. Pay attention dude, this use to be a Tiger town, it's now a turned into a Grizzly town. Ever noticed, with all the coaching jobs opening up, that no one has gone after Pastner. Hmm, wonder why. So yea, let's give him a 7th year. Yep, that's the ticket.

Coach K and the other blue bloods heavily recruited 1 player out of the '2 top 10 classes' you think we had.

Not sure what you mean.
Both top 10 classes were ranked by folks not affiliated with the university.
Also, Pastner has a third top 10 class coming in next year.
Instead of picking it apart after the fact, why don't you denounce it right now?

Yeah they recruit different players. The real question is if/when JP leaves will someone else be able to draw fundamentally sound kids to an urban university that has historically won by playing talent ball?

Consider it done. Good players. No great, program changers in the mix. No lottery picks in the mix. Heck, no players that are locks as first year starters for a team that didn't make the NCAA's. But top 10 class if they say so.

So far in 7 years, 1. But we did have a major component of 1 class transfer to Rhode Island.

Joe Jackson, Will Barton, Adonis Thomas, Shaq Goodwin and Austin Nichols add up to more than 1. Add that to Tarik Black, Chris Crawford, Kuran Iverson and Nick King who were just below that list. Then you have Geron Johnson rated by some as a top juco and Dixon who was Big 12 defensive player of the year. And I'm not even counting Elliot Williams or the nut case Kendrick. You give Gregg Marshall, Bruce Pearl, Archie Miller or Shaka Smart those players and I guarentee you they make multiple sweet 16s in a 6 year span. Oh wait they've already done that with LESS talent.

Shaq Goodwin was recruited by UCLA. But you're right about the system? What is Josh system btw? I see that stupid A/Horns set with the two post players jogging to the top of the key. But that's about it.

Which players in our 'top 10' classes chose us over Duke, KY, KS?

JJ and AN are the only guys who had legit offers to join the blue bloods as FR.
The coach's you name get the players that fit their systems.
I want a new coach.
Shaq Goodwin was recruited by UCLA. But you're right about the system? What is Josh system btw? I see that stupid A/Horns set with the two post players jogging to the top of the key. But that's about it.
It looks like what many of the NBA teams do to create mismatch's. But with the lack of execution it's really hard to tell.

Both top 10 classes were ranked by folks not affiliated with the university.
Also, Pastner has a third top 10 class coming in next year.
Instead of picking it apart after the fact, why don't you denounce it right now?
Consider it done. Good players. No great, program changers in the mix. No lottery picks in the mix. Heck, no players that are locks as first year starters for a team that didn't make the NCAA's. But top 10 class if they say so.
So, I guess in your opinion, Josh's recruiting hasn't been all it's been cracked up to be in his career here?
