I would give some of you history buffs a little more weight if you actually showed me the rings. No coach in our history has ever won a national championship. Ever!!!

I think in order to win an actual championship we have to put our trust in someone like Coach Pastner.... Sure we could probably hire some SEC throw back who will get us to the second week of the NCAAs, but none of those guys are actually going to EVER win a title for Memphis.

I want a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!! I can envision Pastner winning one.

I think a lot of you are old and jealous of a young, successful man. You pound on Josh because you don't like a younger man making that much money. Josh is from my generation. I know you old people have rigged the laws so you get all the money in Social Security Checks. You think you earned your social security check, but heaven forbid Pastner makes that much money.....

Pastner can't beat a team with a 240 RPI, you can forget your championship dream with him.

I think Josh will be a good coach eventually. Probably two jobs down the road. He is a hard worker and good recruiter. He lacked experience and he is getting it day by day. Unfortunately, I don't think it is fair to the Memphis fans to have to wait another 7 to 8 years for Josh to be a good coach.

Now, personally, I don't care if he is fired or stays on for those 8 more years, I just don't see Josh having much success here.

This is what I believe. This thing has turned on him. Regardless of his ability and/or potential it will be hard to recover from the negative fall out on the rectuiting trail, with current players, and public perception (fans).

I usually never say never but I’ll go out on a limb and officially say Josh will NEVER be a good D1 level coach.

My advice to him is to find another occupation/skill/hobby/adventure/ect, and move on.
