The spin coming from all sides is entertaining. Say what you will about Pastner, the guy is polarizing if anything.

Look, folks were happy for the win when Keldrick Bradford hit the halfcourt shot against UNCC - didn't mean it wasn't a crappy season and the program wasn't in a downward spiral.
The Tulane dance party commentary was more of a look how far the program has fallen commentary from most, which is the bigger point that some want to snidely sweep aside.
Situations aren't always either/or.
You can be happy, well relieved at least, that they beat Tulane while still understanding that a locker room celebration after beating Tulane is a bigger sign of the times.
looking for stuff to complain about, pretty simple. Celebrating after beating UAB during our runner-up season should also be ripped apart.

that's why it would be good for both sides if an uncoupling were to occur in March.

Probably so.
The act like you've been there should always apply to a program of Memphis' stature. Unless the program wishes to be small time.

Personally, I think something Shane Battier said the other day applies here. He was discussing game strategy in an "easier said than done" kind of way, and said, in effect,
"The farther I get away from the game of basketball, the easier it looks."

And that is simple bullsh!t.
It is only evidence that THIS season, Memphis is down. This is not last season and this is not next season. This is THIS season and an improved Tulane and a down Memphis team is all that is happening here.
This bullsh!t spin that somehow next decade expectations are simply to be able to win close at Tulane is complete crap. Taking that moment to try and make that point is master baiting.

It was celebrating basically a last second shot. There's very few teams if any that wouldn't celebrate on the floor or back in the locker room no matter who the opponent was. Some people around here need to get over themselves

I remember that one. Wow that was an awesome shot. So was Austin's and like I said before I have no issue with anyone who wants to celebrate. Even Josh
