Was JMU under Lefty ever ranked?
GMU and VCU are relatively recent additions. I don't remember VCU being ranked under JD Barnett, even if UR was under Tarrant and of that I am not even sure.
UVA was usually ranked in the '80s
I don't remember UR or VCU being ranked during the Larranaga era at GMU

Probably 2011 is the most likely year maybe?
I think UR was ranked at the end of both 2010 and 2011 and VCU was in 2011; and I think UVA was as well?

According to Reddit, this is the first time it's ever happened for our fair state.

Those three smart individuals are Chris Dachille, Joe Rexrode and Mark Berman. If we keep winning, this could get even better really fast.

That's the plan and as painful as it is for me to say, go out there and win the A10, so our win over VCU continues to be a resume builder. Could you do something about Richmond and Mason, as well?

ODU received some nice praise on the local Washington DC News broadcast tonight! Finally some much deserved national publicity. Congratulations Monarchs!!! Well deserved.

I really hope this Top 25 ranking does something - anything - to increase student attendance and have the Monarch Maniacs to actually start acting like Maniacs. The whole atmosphere of the Ted starts with the students and adds to the whole game experience. Fingers crossed because I really miss the Maniacs of '10 and '11.

I've been following since 1973, (attended there from 74-78), couldn't agree more.

It will certainly help if the school actually promotes it on campus... And if we are still ranked when they return. Both are big ifs right now, but if they happen I expect to see a significant bump. Shame there are no more regional,teams left on the schedule. An ECU or JMU a home game would be huge right now.

I think the next home game will be a huge home crowd but all the games in conference are BIG. A few will be more significant because of how they are playing and have played in the past.

Jmu why would we want to play them in our OOC schedule. I can not think of one reason why we would want to ever play them. Maybe Women's field hockey.

Yeah, I thought our philosophy was to schedule UP. No RPI help there.

Maybe. I was thinking more along the lines of intramural ping-pong.

I think as long as we stay ranked, the Ted will be a hot ticket. Look at the crowd we had for Mt. Saint Mary. 8K+ with students on break.

I think UVA will be a staple on our schedule soon. Look at the ties we have with them on our staff.

If we can stay in the Top 25 this season, I can see at least a few more sold-out Ted crowds in our future.

Aww, they don't want to play us because we are not a peer university. They want to play Oxford, Harvard and the Sarbonne.

I too think attendance will be up but we have to remember that they were offering 4 tickets for $28. I have to think that was an offer a lot of families couldn't pass up. Great hoops for the whole family for less than a trip to the movies.
