Sounds right to me. If there's one thing we know it's that money trumps all with these clowns. Unless and until the lack of a CCG starts really impacting the bottom line, they aren't handing out any new memberships to the country club.

Expansion is the last option---but I have no doubt they are working on the plan already just in case.

Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott said it best Friday: “I don’t think there will be a lot of tolerance for sour grapes.” There won’t be any for the Big 12, that much is certain.

This was a botched plan from the start, a failure set in motion well before the “One True Champion” slogan was even concocted.

They won't get it. The rest of the P5 almost got screwed by having two teams in the playoff bc their lack of ccg. All it would have taken was OSU and FSU to lose. You had better believe the rest of the commissioners are going to say 'F off' to the B12.

Actually that's a reason for them to let them have one. As you said this year there were no upsets in the 4 CGs of the P5 had there been one the Big12 gets a team in and had OSU and FSU lost both TCU and Baylor could had been in the playoffs.

Does this mean Cinci-UCF is back on for next year?
