Nothing personal against Marshall, but each of us wants to post a W against a ranked team for the benefit of our own program growth.

Until our offensive line gets their crap together, Marshall will EASILY whip us.

Wonder who Marshall will host for the champ game. La Tech might go undefeated, but it could get ugly for them if they do face the Herd. Don't think that matchup favors LT at all.

No argument from me on that point, at all.

So if we all agree to lay down and let Marshall beat us, are you saying that you're guaranteeing Marshall will be rated ahead of East Carolina? Because if not, I think we'll refuse to concede the win.

We'd be the first fans pissed off if we felt any team we played laid down against us. We want it, but we want to earn it.

If it appeared a C-USA team laid down in the Marshall game, the ECU fans would be all over it.

For the record, I hope Rice beats them twice this year.

Did it to Houston. No regrets if we do it to Marshall.

Actually, we did it to you first that year. If you hadn't lost to either Marshall or UAB, you would have been BCS bowling after beating Houston. People mostly mention UAB that year cause they bit you late in the season. We got you in September.

RE: Nobody better Beat Marshall
That 2011 game against USM is why no Marshall fan should be cocky going in to any game this year. We were horrible that year, USM had 6 turnovers and our punter had the single best performance I have ever seen in a college football game from that position. USM was so much more talented than us it was pathetic, but Vinny Curry did just enough on defense and we won by 7.

Anything can happen any game.

I'm rooting for them to lose out there program is trash top
to bottom.
The idea that Marshall playing a BSC bowl would really help other programs is overrated. What did Boise State do for the other WAC school? Your program is better off winning everygame it plays in.

I won't wish the same on FAU because many of your fans were fantastic at the game Sat. That said, it's been a long time since I've seen a bigger irrational, wanker on a non-smack board than you and I've been on since 1997 and owned my own site since 1999.

Lots of football left fellas. Anything can happen on any given day. We had a tough game against a solid FAU team Saturday. Going to USM and UAB are a big concern. Rice is a physical team hitting their stride it seems. We know what they did to us last year. WKU can sling it.

As a CUSA fan at this point I want Marshall to win out. It would be best for the confrence. However I TOTALLY understand every other team on thier schedule wishing it otherwise.

Also if they run up the score, dont take it personally. With SOS being a factor they need to put BIG numbers up on the board to help thier case.

Agreed. The only way to claim it: earn it.

I remember when the talking heads at ESPN wanted USM to let TCU win.. I also remember Jeff Bower saying if they wanted to, they would have to earn it..

Maybe our teams can get even by running up the scores in all other sports vs. Marshall 05-stirthepot
