Most of these guys only get attention when they posit rumors about expansion. So far they have been very inaccurate in realignment. They seem to throw crap against the window to see what sticks mostly.

It is all over the place. One guy is saying independence for Texas, or maybe the SEC, or maybe ACC partial, and/or OU leaving without B12 expansion. Another is saying Texas (and probably others) to the B1G. One is just saying big news stay tuned OU/UT rift. Yet another UCF and Miami to the B12. The only agreement is two seem to be saying Texas and OU are at odds about the future direction of the B12 regarding expansion.

Let's hear what the Dude has to say tomorrow. It would be nice if MHver added some info too.

The Big Ten's TV deal is still on the horizon...I'm not sure expansion is dead dead until the Big Ten signs those TV deals next spring/summer.

Texas to independent? Could be a BYU-like ship sinker.
Big 12 to add 2? Seems like a way to make your conference WEAKER, not stronger in the long run.

I'll say it again...ESPN's pocket book sunk college football. Any expansion that EVER would have made sense was ruined by big deals from the Mouse.

I believe that the Dude, MHver3 and TuxedoYoda are all the same whack job. I believe some not created all three of those personnas to give his nonsense more credibility. He has been wrong at nearly every single turn. However, he continues to find an audience for his nonsense because people will believe what they want to believe.

It's amazing how many people will get caught up in this .

I actually think he knew stuff back when West Virginia was in the process of joining the Big 12. Their people at WVU, at that time, were free to be "agents" for the Big 12 with other entities without there being any blowback upon the Big 12 conference. I would assume that a whole lot of information flowed through WVU at that time.

The moment they officially joined the Big 12 though they could no fill that role and the info stopped. Dude came out and said that is when he made some Big Ten contacts. His stories were all over the place, jumping around from here to there and whatever. Those folks from the Big Ten, if they weren't figments of his imagination, were using and abusing him for their own purpose.

Notre Dame is absolutely staying Indy and if Texas moves, they will be adding to the strength of Notre Dame staying Indy. They are the plug in the dam.

I saw on post from the Ohio State insider nevadabuck on their premium site that corroborated that the Dude of WV was getting his info from the same place he was. Apparently the nevadabuck guy asked his source why he was also giving info to the Dude. So, I know the Dude has/had at least one real good source of information.

I don't doubt that the Big 12 will eventually expand, but MHver and TuxedoYoda are completely full of ****. You can easily discount any rumor they spread as fake.

Everytime Tuxedo Yoda uses UCF's name, I cringe. I sometimes feel he's just toying with UCF fans, for the entertainment value, and if he can drag others along with us then so much the better.

The funny thing about it is he made the entire WVU athletic department look bad, because he made it seem as though the info was coming straight from Oliver Luck. At least initially. Making it seem as though no potentially confidential info could be trusted with the WVU officials. Even though he never represented them.

Its a lot tougher to financially justify expansion than it was in 2010. Finding a school that generates $7-$10 million additional is easier than finding one that generates $20 million.
