Who was talking about Alabama? I was talking about the SEC in general. I still remember when the Florida-Tennessee game was the defacto SEC Championship game. Let the Gators replace Muschamp with a competent coach, and give Butch a couple more years to recruit, and it could be again.

That's a 10 team geographically sound conference that would get at least $30 million per school every year in just TV revenue alone. 7 of those 10 schools are currently in the top 15!

I think we can safely retire the trope that "The Big 12 should add Cincinnati."

That crap has come crashing to earth. Ain't nobody adding Cincinnati except maybe the MAC. And right now, even they are taking a pass on that.

Why the hell would anyone want the Mississippi schools? If we were just seeing up conferences anew, they'd be in CUSA or just maybe the American (assuming they could maintain the same level of support without the SEC). SEC could improve their payout if they ditched those two plus Vanderbilt.

Yup, that is fact. In the meantime, I love the WVU addition to the Big 12 (Morgantown was a blast last season!) and the round robin scheduling is uniting the conference members since familiarity breeds contempt! Honestly, there is no available school worth ditching round robin for IMO.

The fact that the B12 likes things the way they are isn't going to stop the rest from trying to force us to conform to their idea of the perfect conference. There's also an added incentive for fans of schools hoping for a chance to improve their status. So those of us saying the B12 is fine like it is won't be taken seriously. We're not saying what everyone wants to hear.
