I remember Harris. He was a threat every time he got the ball.

John's deal is on a kickoff return, I tried for the punt return, but he treasures his mane.

B/C we rushed him every time before that. And MGR, you are right. I was thinking it was Stobie, but it does make sense it was Vic.

Ah, that explains it. One of the most heart-breaking moments as a Tiger fan was watching that punt sail over Copeland's head and him trying (unsuccessfully) to field it.

Up until that moment, I had NO DOUBT we were going to win that game. No doubt in my mind.

Dang. I just looked over the scores of that season. We were only 18 points away from an undefeated season. That was good football on the stat sheet. It was not so nice to watch.

Yeah, it was so close...but the drought continues.

nope against Tulane in 2002, was a 85 yard run or so.

God I miss seeing that kid run in person. What a special treat that was.

Yep.

Anytime you think there isn't a strong current of collective insanity on this board, remember that after DeAngelo left there was this big thread arguing that Doss and whoever else was still around could actually improve on DeAngelo's productivity and be better by committee.

I think that was just an amazing 85 yard run or a punt return. I know it was not a kick return. I was at that game and dang he could run

Maybe we will get a chance to see someone similar to that sooner than we think.

Joe Craig in the ***************** UCF game.

Yep, it was right after ucf scored two touchdowns quickly to get the lead back in a game where the tigers had outplayed them. Fans were booing the officials about the warford fumble. On the very next kickoff, one of the officials threw a flag for holding even though he threw that flag very early and from the opposite side of the field. I never did figure out who he called holding on especially since there wasn't much contact being made at that point in the play.

If my memory doesn't fail me, it seems like we've had some bogus holding penalties on some returns. But I've put a mental block on the history of "what ifs" with tiger football.

The one I remember was against UTEP from the Wildcat snap.

That one was just stupid. An all-timer. I am drawing a blank but who was the QB who was downfield and made the last block? Billy Barefield maybe?
