The ACC without Connecticut and Cincinnati is:

Temple
Navy
East Carolina
South Florida
Central Florida
Memphis
Tulane
Tulsa
SMU
Houston

Best in Basketball
1) Temple has not done much lately and may never return to glory days.
2) Memphis best of the AAC, but could fade as well.
3) Houston same as Temple.
4) SMU hot now but will fade away soon.

Best in Football
1) East Carolina can be strong some years but cannot maintain at a high level every year.
2) Central Florida had a good 2013 team. Question is will they maintain this level or will they faded away again?
3) Houston is always an up and down program that could fade away again!

Conclusion, if Connecticut and Cincinnati are raided, the AAC will be in deep dodo, because they are the AAC's flagship programs!

Not really as far as the G5 goes...would still rather be in the AAC than the MWC, C-USA, MAC or Sunbelt..

G5 is just a glorified name for being classified mid major!

Wilkie...if it wasn't for the B1G creating the opening for Louisville we would be in the AAC...No need to put those guys down....UConn, UC and USF have been at the table and if anything UCF reminds me of Louisville in the late 90s...give them a break, schools like Houston and SMU have produced Heisman Winners...

Louisville, Cincinnati and UCF improved in football since CUSA. However, South Florida did not. Connecticut did do well in football even being in the Big East. Memphis, ECU, Tulsa, Tulane, Houston and SMU are just a redo of CUSA two years ago. Sorry Maize, but I get sick just thinking about my Cards being stuck in AAC and its horrid TV contract! I tell the truth not what people want to hear or believe. Houston and SMU were not wanted by the Big 12 ever. It is what it is!

They know this, no reason for us now a member of a P5 league to throw it in their face...right now it looks like crowing on our part...instead of focusing on our past as Louisville fans and alums we should be focusing on our future in the ACC...

By some but really overall the old guys left behind understood...just my focus is on the Future and 1 September 2014 in Papa John's and our upcoming games in basketball with schools like Duke, UNC and Syracuse....

Well, I was the best at smack talk in football. I took a many an opponent out of his game because he was to busy trying to get me. The smart football players let smack roll off their backs like water does on a duck's back. But the weak minded players let the smack get to them. It is such on web board as well.

With all that said I am proud to be part of the ACC old and new teams!
