I hope NCSU does a series with ASU. I would love to see a 2-1 deal and watch a game in Boone. I love that area and understand why everyone I meet from App loves that school. I think if ASU is one of the schools my son chooses to attend, I would be thrilled. I would love to see ASU grow in all sports and be a rock solid FBS program!

Other than App. St. I have not been to any other Sun Belt school's football stadium. I look forward to visiting them over the next years. I am looking forward to seeing new teams visit Ga. Southern also.

App doesn't use the ASU moniker anymore. There are two ASU's in the Sun Belt, so neither of us use it to avoid confusion.

Though we both secretly claim that we are the real ASU.

My apologies, no offense meant. Is the appropriate is APP the appropriate acronym?

I believe that is what they are using.

This may not be out of the question, though Wake or Duke is probably more likely:

(07-01-2014 11:48 PM)ark30inf Wrote:  The Sun Belt is a very young football league. It was terrible at the start. It was a collection of nomads and move-ups put together by necessity. In 13 years it has made incredible strides in joining the mainstream of FBS football. In 13 short seasons we've gone from being horrific...to challenging other long-established G5 conferences in power ratings and standing our ground in bowl games.

The schools that left played a part in that. MTSU and WKU have fine overall athletic programs. WKU is primarily a basketball school and are good at it. Neither are bad at football, but their claim to fame are more spread out over their overall athletic programs. That's not a bad thing.

But, for better or worse, football is how your school and conference establish a reputation and what the Sun Belt has been doing for 13 years. With the addition of App State and Georgia Southern we are getting an injection of a boatload of football tradition and football fervor. We have a big net gain in those categories if those schools can keep it up through transition pains. Those are categories that we need and go directly to the conference's football strategy.

stAte and Louisiana have been upping their game recently in that regard, but it is a drag to take that on the road to play in front of 1,000. I doubt that will be a problem when we go to App State and Georgia Southern. Nobody knows how things will go, but this could be pretty cool for all of us when it settles in.

We've taken a hit I think to consistency in some of the other sports, but then you look at performances by Louisiana and Georgia State in basketball, performances in baseball, some individual Track and Field performances and you see positives there.

Let's do it.

This ^! That ^! and Post of the year! Make that decade!! 04-cheers

Since NCSU starts a home and home with ODU this year would hope it's not out of the question.

I find it funny that you think any old diagram of a sentence is the end-all, be-all of correct grammar - much less that the online tool you linked to produces a correct diagram. Hint: it doesn't because it doesn't know what FBS and SBC are - substitute two proper nouns of groups (I used "American" and "Canadian"), and the second diagram it produces is correct.

Oh I don’t know I think PantherVille is the next Rudyard Kipling.- He just needs some inspiration!

How about using the words “Zero” & “Twelve”. Can you make a poem of that Pantherville?

OK Sheldon Cooper. Bet you were that kid in every class who has to point out every insignificant flaw in whatever is being discussed. I bet the other kids in school hated you.

They're not crazy. Their AD had them tested.

App State Head Coach Scott Satterfield Came Aboard with Chad Laborde to kick off
the Come Aboard College Football Preview on ESPN 100.3 The Game New Orleans.

Remember, the way Chad Laborde pronounces Appalachian is not the correct way.

If completely taking down the entire CSNBBS message boards wasn't enough of a hint, the Sun Belt just got two of the most rabid fan bases in G5 football. App may have a little more show up on Saturdays, but we're a little crazier.

The App/GS game this year and next year will be absolutely epic. Complete sell outs guaranteed. If any other SBC fans show up to either of these games, free booze on me!

Can't wait to get stAte and Louisiana on the field. Can't be the best until you beat the best.

Keep pretending like this wasn't called for, given the way we were treated by Apps and (particularly) GaSots during our transition.

03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao Go get em, Panthersville! Fight the good fight! Put us in our places and give us our deserved payback! 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

Love ya. Glad you are here. Sent letters trying to get you in. But the effort involved in getting me to remember to pronounce your name like that is probably wasted effort.
