I cheer for both schools I attended...they compete at totally different levels...moreover, my parents are both Memphis grads and I grew up with them taking me to Memphis games.
Southwest's all-time winningest basketball coach, Verties Sails, was a Memphis asst coach...current Tiger player Chris Hawkins is a transfer from Southwest.

The Tea Party is a state of mind.
How can there be an ‘official’ of a grass roots set of passionate people that has no real organization?

It's not my fault people can't just say what they mean...
You knew what he meant. You didn't have a problem when Franken and Gore wanted votes to be recounted, you refuse to admit it. Congratulations on your hypocrisy.
More ASSumptions...
If this was just an assumption, you would've said you had an issue with Al 1 and Al 2 demanding recounts a few pages ago. Try again.

Did you say the same thing about Al Franken or Al Gore?
About Gore. Absolutely. He drug that out waaay too long and was pathetic.
But what would Franken whine about? He won. Coleman was the whiner.
Here we go, I found it.
When the initial count was completed on November 18, Franken was trailing Coleman by 215 votes. This close margin triggered a mandatory recount. After reviewing ballots that had been challenged during the recount and counting 953 wrongly rejected absentee ballots, the State Canvassing Board officially certified the recount results with Franken holding a 225-vote lead.
On January 6, 2009, Coleman's campaign filed an election contest and on April 13, a three-judge panel dismissed Coleman's Notice of Contest and ruled that Franken had won the election by 312 votes. Coleman’s appeal of the panel's decision to the Minnesota Supreme Court was unanimously rejected on June 30, and he conceded the election. Al Franken was sworn in as the junior Senator from Minnesota on July 7, 2009.
So Franken DIDN'T ask for a recount, according to this data, but the 215 vote defeat defaulted to a mandatory recount, and the 312 vote victory was enough to make him a Senator and dismiss a recount by Coleman.
I wonder which way it would have gone if Dean Barkley would have kept his nose out of it.

Yes, it's a lot better than their downtown campus, it looks like a prison.
The Smith Center was new so we actually had brand new computers and small class sizes.

The Tea Party is a state of mind.

It was, and to some extent it still is. But make no mistake that some people have decided/attempted to hi-jack or "adopt" the Tea Party as "their" party. When in reality it is as you say, a state of mind and as Ive put it- a fed up state of mind.
Fed up with the dims, no doubt, and the serial incompetence of this entire clown car cabal, but equally fed up with the go along get alongs in the career Repubs that inhabit too many of the "R" seats. I like the idea of a TEA Party, but also realize there is no way it becomes any kind of legit 3rd party. It should be a vocal and influential wing of the Republican party.
As a somewhat famous Republican once said- Quote:“Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people”.
Truer words never spoken.

According to the data I found, yes, you were correct... I just remember there being a recount and I wasn't aware that it was mandatory in a close race. I'm not sure about the SNL Gore thing, I never could get into SNL.
