Having a different viewpoint does not mean you're speaking like you know more about basketball (even if you do). Stating your opinion should be encouraged not attacked. 03-thumbsup

RE: Women's postseason
One thing I can't stand about the top ten or so teams is the absolutism that ESPN's talking heads always show to them. USD-Stanford game, refs missed an over the back call with USD down by 15 as they're cutting the lead down that let Stanford go up by 19... Bull crap, and then the announcers say it won't impact the game. Are you stupid? Of course it affects the game. No surprise they want teams like Stanford to have it easy.

I don't think I am the only one who knows about WBB. But I am not going to back off from pointing out when other posters are talking about stuff that isn't "true" (ECU getting ranked, UTEP getting an at-large bid, weak OOC schedules.)

I think a lot of fans on this board have been surprised at the level of "smack" coming from MT WBB fans. Well, get used to it. The Lady Raiders have earned the title as the best in C-USA and the fans are going to celebrate that status. And time and time again this season, the opinions and predictions offered by MT fans have been proven true. Maybe other fans SHOULD listen and learn a bit.

In the entire WNIT? That's impressive. I'd UTEP to expect the highest attendance in competing CUSA teams given their high fan support, if that's what it was.

Of any WNIT game.

Looking forward to WKU in CUSA. They will be a great addition, and will enhance the CUSA Women' Basketball National footprint. Regardless of what others may think CUSA next year will be one of the most competitive leagues in the country. It will just be a matter of time, with a few break out games against OOC opponents for us to start to get respect. Every program will benefit from this exposure and competition. I give it 2 years. Watch out, CUSA WBB will be there and winning big games.

PS. Good game today against a very strong Baylor team. I would have loved to see you sink them today

In another ten years, when we have 27 tournament appearances, we can revisit this. Until then...

Enjoy this year, and the good chance that MT will get past OSU and USC.

Keep running your mouth because fact is MTSU has done nothing in women's basketball in the NCAA tournament..WKU has 3 Final FOur, history or not, MTSU has 0 and will continue to have zero.......Just like the men, great regular seasons followed by postseason disappointment....I hope you took notes tonight seeing WKU Lady Toppers playing in NCAA tournament vs. Baylor holding their own....This was with our best player injured for the last 20 games and all of our best players returning plus adding Miss Basketball in state of Kentucky....We will compete with your midget of a head coach next season..

It does no good if one team is head of shoulders above the rest of the league. That team will never get the credit it deserves. So it is good that we all have reasons to brag about our team.

They will win the league again. Mark my words. Insell is a winner and is a hall of fame coach, something no other institution in this conference can say. He has over 1,000 wins in his career and will have the team competing for another title immediately next year. We have heard "I dont think middle will even be in the top 4 next season" every year for the last 8 years, and every year we come back and succeed. This year, it's Ebony Rowe... Next year...

We will have a new transfer from High Point coming in, a 6'4" Cheyenne Parker who happens to hold several records in HPU and Big South Conference history, including most blocks I believe. She will take a starting role immediately and pick up where Ebony will (eventually) leave off. To put that into some perspective, we've had two others recently similar to her - Amber Holt and Alysha Clark. If you know women's basketball, those names will ring a bell. Add Parker to our returning lineup and we will be a Top 25 team as usual. 04-cheers

Aim High * Our Pride is Showing

* (2 years from AIAW before NCAA)

I have nothing but respect for the history and tradition of former powers ODU, LaTech and even W. Ky. I hope that MT can achieve just half of what the Monarchs and Lady Techsters did. I loved watching those teams in the 80 and 90s. Ticha Penicheiro was one of my favorite players to watch.

The game needs those trailblazing teams to make a resurgence to prominence. I don't think any of us will ever get back to where you guys were two or three decades ago. The landscape has changed too much since then. But there is no reason C-USA can't regularly send teams to the Sweet 16.

THERE'S the "hate" that was missing this year. Mocking delusional UTEP and ECU fans just wasn't as much fun as the smack between MT and W. Ky.

The Goat Toppers certainly have plenty of history they can look back at fondly. And the Lady Raiders have been snake bit in recent years in the NCAA tourney. But MT fans can always point to 17-3 which is the Lady Raider record against W. Ky under Rick Insell.

RE: Women's postseason
UTM is playing UNC so well and they might lose because of one of the worst miscalls I've seen in a long time.

UTM player was charged with a flagrant / intentional foul after the fact on a FREE THROW when she blocked out a player and the player (no surprise, the media's favorite Diamond DeShields) pushed through her arm with her neck. They then called the UTM player for a flagrant after the fact. And UTM went from up 15 to up 8...

Then on the other end, they call a BLOCKING FOUL on the most SET defensive player YOU CAN POSSIBLY HAVE.

I am livid. These referees are throwing the game. %*!$ UNC.

And now a UTM player gets mowed over... with the ball... and it's a foul on her.

I can't believe this bull crap.
