ADP estimate: 139K jobs
Once again the number dwindles.

http://finance.yahoo.com/video/adp-job-n...00699.html

And the leftists still cling to their false tales of economic prosperity. Useful idiots as their manipulative masters keep raking in money.

I'm not trying to make excuses for Obama, as his administration has certainly put a hamper on job creation with the ACA and such. But, lets be honest, this winter has certainly hurt companies from being able to hire people. March will likely be much better.

I think that's overstated.

Remember, weather was very mild in the west, and chilly weather in the south is not that big of a deterrent, even if it's colder than usual.

in march, it will be the pollen. people can't get out of the house because they're sneezing. in april, it will be the rain. people need government assistance for new rainboots and umbrellas. there will be tornados in the midwest in may. it will be too phukkin' hot in june. fireworks accidents in july. flying insects in august. september will be goerge bush's fault again. october will be campaign month; it's all the gaddam rich people's fault.

november: we were distracted by the election.

december: the allegedly religious holiday thing.

january: winter weather!

. . . repeat as necessary.

Chicago verified record cold winter. I delight in my decision to leave and never return.

Still unclear to me how big of an impact that truly is. Main area would be construction jobs I would guess.

Say what you want... it got to the point that I just turned down my hot tub because I knew that I wasn't going to be getting into it when it was 0 or below zero for weeks on end at night. As I said before, I suspect that March will be better. At this point it has nothing to do with Obama, it has all to do with companies wanting to get out and make some money again.

fixed. thank you. hurricanes weren't a problem when they only hit red states, but once a half-a-hurricane hit NJ, people suddenly gave a damn.

Are you serious? The Midwest, where somewhere in the neighborhood of 50-60% of the population of this country lives, had the worst winter most people can remember.

I know we all think that the world lives at our doorstep, but according to the last census, the population of the 12 midwestern states was 67,000,000. the population of the US was 308,000,000. that's something like 20% of the population.

so, I'm sorry, but I just object to explaining national behavior according to what 20% of the population can remember regarding the weather.

Ok, sorry, 60% of the population is within a day's driving of the Midwest. That includes the Northeast, which also had one of the coldest winters on record as well. As I said... it certainly has had an impact on hiring.

I have clients in all industries from Connecticut to San Diego, to Florida, to Portland, and everywhere in between.

Pretty much all of them have been exceptionally slow because of the weather this winter except for the heating and cooling guys. They're all busier than they can handle.

My ski shop in Park City is having a damn good year too.

Everyone else? No.

Well, I don't have a link for you, but it is constantly quoted in Dayton, Ohio, that 60% of the population is within a day's driving distance to the US Air Force Museum (at Wright Patterson Air Force Base). That is supposedly part of the reason why they decided to place the museum here.

ok, so far we have the weather memories of 20% of the population, and your client base.

they're hiring construction guys like crazy across the street from me, and it was 70 degrees yesterday. I don't understand why unemployment isn't at 5%
