Why hasn't this thread been split? I just want to find out about ticket sales without this other cap.

RE: Current Tickets Sold for Fiesta Bowl for UCF
Pretty much everyone I know drove to Memphis in 2010 and 2007. New flash it's pretty much the same drive as Waco to Phoenix. Not everyone is going to drive but it is an option for Baylor fans. This is not an option for ucf Fans period.

Bottom line is ucf will have more fans at a game 3000 miles away than usf had at most of their home games this year.

It hasn't been split because a usf mod hasn't been personally butthurt by this thread.

Start talking about USFs attendance and you'll see them real quick.

USF attendance sucks. The Brahman bulls have lied about it for years. What is that in there end zone? A bullship? I love all the empty pink seats at the rayjay.

UCF, gracious winners as usual. Give me a break, now it is a USF conspiracy as to why the thread is not decoupled? Here is an idea, create a NEW thread with a new title. Some of you really need to find employment.

At least we win. Repeatedly. Not our fault a bunch of Brahman Bull ass hats hijacked this thread.

So if you have time to post on a message board it means you don't have a job?

Ok, let me compare my 100 posts with the thousands many of you have. Let's try and remove the USF hate and simply answer the question: Why not create a new thread titled "actual attendance" or "official attendance count?" Might be better than pissing and moaning...

It's still only 3 hours longer of a drive because you don't have to drive through BFE Alabama on slow white trash roads. This whole argument is idiotic though. 60 hour round trip drive vs. 30 hours round trip. Which one do you think more college students are going to hop in a car and drive?

You seem unable to grasp the concept of "diminishing returns". While UCF is twice as far from Phoenix as is Baylor, Baylor is so far away that only a miniscule % of its fans will drive it, making that extra distance from UCF almost entirely moot.

It's like if someone asked you whether you wanted to try and jump over a 20 foot wall or 40 foot wall. You couldn't do either so those extra 20 feet on the taller wall don't mean anything.

You're under this impression that the drive from Waco to Phoenix is difficult at all. It's six hours longer than the drive from south Florda to FSU, a drive thousands of kids do multiple times a year. It's the difference between jumping a forty foot wall and a five foot wall.

It is completely reasonable to make a 14 hour drive, hell I'm probably doing it.

You'd have to be Tony Stewart to drive 1,100 miles in 14 hours. Good luck with that.

Let me say it again: Baylor is as far from Phoenix as Orlando is from *New York City*. Would UCF fans in Orlando be driving to the Pinstripe Bowl in any significant numbers if that's where UCF was playing? Ridiculous.

Anyone who thinks more than a few people would be likely to drive either one of those has a very wrong impression of real life. 07-coffee3

Some of you don't realize how far it is from Waco TX to Phoenix AZ. Nearly 1100 miles. There is absolutely no way to do it in 14 hours unless you are driving 90 miles an hour and make zero stops. Trip will take a MINIMUM of 17 hours, and that's with taking no stops other than getting gas. Realistically, it's going to take you 18 hours if you want to get anything to eat. Some of you forget how long it takes to get across TX, which is nearly 900 miles across from Orange to El Paso. Waco is partway through, but it's still a long trip. I drive from San Antonio to Pensacola FL all the time and it's only 700 miles and that takes 11-12 hours and I don't mess around getting there.

I've tried to impress that on these UCF fans. They think "Texas, Arizona.. both in the southwest so they must be close". But the distances out there are vast. Heck, I remember once I was going to visit New Mexico, Clovis, and thought about driving to Phoenix. I figured "New Mexico and Arizona are right next door, probably isn't far", then I checked the map and Clovis is as close to Shreveport, Louisiana as it is to Phoenix!

Silly folks around here ....
