Congrats to UL. They have at least a share, beat us head-to-head, and deserve to have the party of their choice. It was probably a very welcome bandage for the players after the loss tonight.

Congrats ULL. Thanks for screwing Astate by rejecting the I-Bowl last Monday.

Go Jags!

They beat us head-to-head. They deserve their choice of party regardless of how it affects us.

WKU on the other hand is waltzing out of this conference. They don't deserve to jump the (at worst) #2 (at best) co-champs of our conference.

Our fan base won't take that jump of a departing #4 team over us lightly. We've been very supportive of this conference and the new members and defended them. We've had the best record over the last couple of years.

WKU will most likely jump us and then waltz out of the conference. But we will no longer have a reason to be supportive of it. Just the opposite. It won't be because we are "too good" for the conference. It will be because it has no ability or inclination to side with its friends.

After all the football scoop and coaching search updates that have happened this year? Sure.

We had a coach get hired to F'n Tennessee after a 4 win season! If you think no one has been looking at HUD this year there is 151 in that kool aid.

Who cares about the conference standings. As long as ULL gets six wins, they get the New Orleans Bowl. A-State may become co-champs next week, but WKU is still getting the GoDaddy Bowl ahead of us because their reps think that we won't travel in large numbers to Mobile for a third straight year. I use to make fun of La Tech for running out to a western conference, but hell we might as well be in the MWC or MAC. We're already stuck in a division with freakin Idaho, New Mexico State and Texas State.

If you think our administration would turn down an in state bowl game you are out of your mind. And we didn't screw ASU really. I understand your frustration but we actually like you guys just like the Monroe game we can only blame the person in the mirror and that's what you must do.

RE: Cajuns have accepted the NO Bowl invite
I still don't get the references to the Cajuns screwing stAte by rejecting the Indy Bowl because I've not seen any support for that claim.

But let's speak clearly here.

The Cajuns have probably lost their starting quarterback for the next two games. They just lost to ULM and may lose to a very dangerous USA team next week.

Wouldn't stAte fans be better served looking in the mirror and asking themselves why they didn't give WKU a curb stomping guaranteeing themselves a conference co-championship at this point and perhaps an outright championship after next weekend's game?

Do that and your bowl is locked up, no?

Brooks Haack is a pretty good qb and with our ground game it will hide his inexperience a little, the last three years we have had to finish with our back up due to injuries I not that worried about it. On the liter side of things I just got a request from a buddy serving in Kuwait for 50 NOB tickets

I'm not that concerned about it either. Good teams overcome adversity and this is a good Cajun team. Losing Broadway (via injury or graduation) will not affect the Cajuns like losing Browning will likely affect ULM....Browning IS that team as best I can tell.

If Haack is qb next week and guides the Cajuns to a win on the road, everything else will fall into place.

Has our opponent been announced for the bowl game?

not yet all sign point to Tulane. At this point its all about a reward for the team and fans. Just want the team to handle up on there business in Mobile so there is no debate as to who the champions are. Me and the crew are ready to go.

Has WKU officially been invited to the GoDaddy Bowl or is all the talk just nervous fans mad that someone else didn't bale them out?

Nothing on the GDB as of yet that's a mess glad we're not involved. Each team has a legitimate argument for the slot still can't believe that people would think our administration would turn down an in state trip to the Indy bowl. We better win Saturday because if the GDB bid is still out there it could get uglier with a bowl eligible USA team.

With the hysterics of the stAte fans here today re WKU and the GoDaddy Bowl, I'm not buying the rumor that the Cajuns turned down an Indy Bowl invite.

They should chill. I still believe they'll get their invite.

I feel it will come down to butts in seat. Now Bobby Patrino will be the wild card. ESPN will be looking for a story line since this is the last bowl game before NC. Patrino will make for interesting conversations. Best of luck to both of them at least USA an UL have both picked up some unlikely support from A-State and WKU.

There is no tie-breaker and co-champs are equal. But Cajuns beat us head-to-head in our own place and clinched a share of the championship.

So they deserve to to go wherever they want without worrying about anyone else. Anything other than that is sour grapes.

As for beating WKU, we gave it our best shot with a backup QB and almost pulled it off. We finished #2 at worst.

Thanks for putting that the way you did. I've admired stAte fans generally because they're not smack talkers and just get the job done year in year out.

If the Cajuns lose from here forward without Broadway I'm sure some Cajun fans will whine that we lost because our qb was injured. Well, I'll respond the same.

A top 25 team, as many of our fans believed the Cajuns were, rises above adversity and finds a way to win. A good team is more than one man. If the starting qb gets injured, then the coaches better have the next guy prepared to hit the ground running. And if he's not as talented as the guy that went down, then the defense better step it up a knotch to give him a chance to win with fewer points scored. Everyone has to step it up.

If a team doesn't have skilled backups, then they're not really top quality teams.

We have moaned a lot about our performances this year...like Memphis. But I haven't heard many fans at all say anything bad about our performance against WKU. I'm awfully proud of the way that they responded to the adversity and very happy with the way our backup played.
