Issue in 2014: Democrats ram through ObamaCare, end Filibuster. Only idiots can lose the Senate next year.

Dem Polls must scare the Hell out of them if they are going nuclear this early. If they try this on Immigration, look for a melt down.

Democrats don't know how to create jobs ... they only know how to grow government, which always results in a net reduction of jobs.

The nuclear option should play well with the house when it comes time for the next debt ceiling and CR talks. Scuttle that sh!t.

What I find hilarious is that the Republican response as to why the Republicans won't vote for Obama's choice for judges(for the DC court)-they aren't needed and will just cost the tax payer. 01-wingedeagle

Dems know they're time is almost up so this was passed to get whatever they can get passed during the next year. Why else would Reid pass something that only a few years ago he was vehemently against and called a "slippery slope"?

Just wait.... the next debt ceiling and CR talks are coming up quickly. The first strike with the nuclear options means mutual destruction. It will only get worse. Dims feel they got nothing to lose. Liberals are a bunch of short sighted narcissists.

Saw this in the news last night. Apparently, because they know that Obama will fill vacant seats with Democrats, their plan now is to simply say that they aren't necessary.

I'm all for the State appointed Senators, but wasn't it the State legislature that made the appointment? Can't look right now.

I was wrong it was the state legislature.

We knew that all along...

I am not really sure which party he is talking about. The Republicon party just this week was trying to once again give more welfare to big oil.

Go to CSPAN.com and watch the videos from this week. Do I have to walk you through that process?

Yep. Watched them say it live on CSPAN. Pete Sessions went on and on and on about it trying to make people believe that is the real reason.

lulz. Good try.

So, how do you explain Reid doing a 180 on this topic? Not that long ago he was dead set against what he just did. What changed?

I'm sorry but I don't have the time to search through a week's worth of videos from C-SPAN. If you would be kind enough to provide a specific day and time, I'd certainly appreciate your assistance.

Probably because he knows damn well that the Democrats won't lose the Senate anytime soon?
