There will probably be at least that many more openings by the end of April. There are many coaches who kept their jobs for 2020-21 only because schools didn't want to look for a new coach after the pandemic began.
You need to feel for UTRGV, their coach, a real good person, and one who was really developing the team, died in his sleep about two weeks ago.

First post in the thread...
saw BC's game tomorrow off due to Covid. Pretty safe bet that we don't see BC on the court rest of the season.

Why did they make the team play with 4 scholarship players when Christian was coaching?

Optics; easier to fire someone after a big loss? Which then makes shutting down easier to take; after all, we had to fire our coach and even in the best of circumstances finishing the season was going to be tough anyway.

No, they will be back when the COVID protocols permit. The AD, Pat Kraft, has indicated that "Scott Spinelli will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the season," said Kraft, "and I am confident that our student-athletes will compete hard down the stretch in this most unusual year with our full support. We will begin a national search immediately to find a new leader of our young men on the Heights."

Could Rick Pitino go back to Boston?

He took the Iona job because he gets to work 10 minutes from his grandkids. He is 68 years old. Why would he go to Boston College? It isn't like he can win a title there? I guess there would be some motivation to beat Louisville, but would he really want to go back there?

Rick Pitino could win a title at pretty much any P5 school. He is that good of a recruiter and coach. He could most certainly turn BC into a NC contender. For that reason alone, I hope he doesnt go to BC.

Brad Bates is the gift that keeps on giving, for Miami and BC.
Good for Brown. He clearly deserves and has earned it.
