I mean, there are those I've wondered about, portal-wise, and the coaches have certainly been showing interest in transfers (which of course could just be smart contingency planning vs. "they know something's coming").

I think they know something is coming since they made an offer. If they make and there one, you can bank on it!!!

I have no knowledge of anyone leaving already in the program. However...

- Since the close of the season, the staff has actively followed many different guys in the transfer portal. Was this just being prepared in case of an opening? Perhaps, but...
- Reports that Kaiden Rice had a W&M offer on the table. Coaches pursued him and we made it to his final 8. I believe that we were in strong contention.
- Around this time, Howland started following Carroll.
- I speculate that once Rice moved on, the Rice offer was extended to Carroll.
- Carroll, through social media proxy, states that he will announce his decision this past week.
- Right after this tweet, Carroll is followed by Boatner. Boatner is the only coach to "like" his announcement tweet.
- Since Carroll's announcement tweet, I'm not aware of any other new transfer followed by any of our assistant coaches.
- At the end of the week, Bollinger started following Carroll.
- On Friday, the same proxy tweeted that his announcement would be at the end of the weekend.
- Fast forward two days late to today (Tuesday at 1:30pm)... Crickets
- Why no announcement? Cold feet or pressure from other suitors? Perhaps. My speculation is that the coaches/Carroll are waiting for the official word from admissions. I really don't know. It's been radio silence since the Friday declaration.
- Carroll follows all three assistants and hasn't followed any other coaches since the "announcement" tweet.
- There is no other transfer that all three coaches mutually follow.
- I've been doing Twitter connect-the-dots for a lot of years and there is rarely as many bread crumbs as left here. I still think Carroll is coming to W&M unless something in his transcripts is preventing him. By all accounts, Brandon is a smart kid with high academics. But, transfer credits can be a tricky thing.

Circumstantial? Yes, but as far as internet evidence goes, it's compelling.

Even more encouraging is that he followed Hatton back. He hasn't been following back anyone lately. No recent Players from other programs or assistants from other schools.

Love this article. Especially the k-means clustering. But what's the chance we land any of the players mentioned? Perhaps just putting it out there will speak it into existence. Is there a way to run the same sort of analysis factoring in both the HSers coming in next year or the guys the staff have been hot on? I imagine it would be difficult as some don't have D1 stats.
