Wow. Well. Ok then.

This place (board) just got a lot less interesting 03-wink.
is it too early to resume donations to Athletics in her honor?
Wow .... Will be interesting to see who leads in an interim basis and who is the ultimate new AD ... lots of big decisions with the cut sports, COVID decisions on winter sports, etc....
Being confirmed by a CBS Sports writer

didn’t take long for Feinstein to get a shot in, have to wonder how many more are coming...

Not to derail, but I thought Laycock's departure was handled well, at least from the outside.
A few people had known Laycock wanted to stay for his 40th. Huge wasn’t having it. Can’t say I saw this coming.
"The Tribe has spoken".....and she didn't like what was said.
This seems a necessary step in the healing process for the Tribe. Her vision was very good but the execution of her decisions were her downfall.

Nope. He simply took the high road. Same thing with Bobby Dwyer
I would have known about this even sooner if I wasn't busy watching Star Trek Logical Thinking videos.

I hope a permanent AD is chosen soon. Jeremy Martin is too inexperienced to handle the job for too long.

Oh, and ...

Great day for the Tribe. Unfortunate this didn't come 19 months sooner.
A lot of damage was done in her brief time IMO. This is a critical step in healing and will allow a reset, hopefully followed by an honest and transparent discussion with all stakeholders about what is realistic going forward. Next critical step, is finding a replacement with an intimate understanding of WM’s athletic history, culture and values. Gotta imagine the cancelling of the 7 will be rescinded at least until there’s new leadership and a fresh budget analysis. If WM reinstates the 7, I suspect you’ll see a flood of donations.
Good luck finding anyone who wants this job after witnessing this
Just a thought from a Duke but why didn't W&M just wait a little to cut the teams? No one is playing anyway. Costs couldn't have the been the only motivation by Huge. No one has a crystal ball to see what may happen in 3 or 4 months. If the CAA does in fact bring a spring Football season things may turn around for you guys. Bring in some capital for all the teams to live on. I would hate to see W&M loose anymore as I really enjoy the trips to Williamsburg for sports events.
From Rowe's statement, it was "mutual" which is code for, "I have to let you go, but I will take your resignation if you want to offer that."

I don't think it will be that hard to find a replacement, there's only so many D1 AD positions out there, and having a passionate fan/alumni base shouldn't be a turn off.
